Zone1 Why Do People Hate God?

And for them to "hate God", they would have to believe that God exists, and is there to hate. So I'd imagine the "hate" is temporary only. Disappointment is not hatred.
For some. Some lose their faith entirely over it.

I have two answers to this question. The first one being for why people hate Trump, they can't stand law and order. If one wants to follow Jesus then they have to turn away from following their sin and follow His rules instead. Sure it doesn't save you, but it's the reflection of your salvation.

The second answer being that they have some anger and hurt for what's going on in their lives. They want to blame somebody, so they take it out on God. Those are just my answers though and I was curious if anybody has answers of their own.

Because they either hate rules, think they're smarter than God, or think God is mean.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Most folks don't "hate God", but they're certainly not very fond of the people who claim to follow him. Those "Christians" give religion a bad name every single day.

And anyone who claims to follow Jesus but also supports a man who is essentially the opposite of Jesus have clearly lost their way. That would be another problem.

Rest assured, Mac, when and if Jesus Christ is ever on the ballot, he's got my vote. Otherwise, we're left with human beings. Politicians being maybe the worst of the lot.

But you don't have to vote for them. And you shouldn't

I used to think that God was mean myself so I guess that doesn't surprise me. The only reason why I thought that though as I wasn't taught properly as a child. Now I can't even begin to understand how I could think that when God did the most loving and selfless thing that anybody has ever done by having His Son die on the cross for our sins.

So far the thread is full of religious believers, but as ever, Mac brings the self-righteousness.

If God is God, He is creator, and has the absolute right to create life and take it.

People just don't like that idea.

I guess you didn't read my post or it just bounced off your programming.

You said I shouldn't vote for people, presumably because they're sinful. Gosh, I guess that means I can't get married, can't have children, etc, since every single human save one was and is sinful.

Yes, yes, we know, YOUR politicians who are sinful are so much better than OUR politicians, also sinful.

Hahahahah
What the **** are you talking about? Which party do you think is "mine"?

All I'm saying is stop voting for bad politicians on purpose. It's not working. I don't give a shit which party you belong to.

I just understand that even God has limits now. He offers the chance of eternal life to everybody, all we got to do is trust in Him alone, but if they reject the offer what else is He supposed to do?

Well now, you must realize that the percentage of politicians who are narcissists is through the roof. Pretty much to run for high office you need a huge ego, an inflated sense of self-worth, etc. These are not fantastic people, so I vote for the one whose policies I like best.

If an artist makes a clay sculpture, it is within her rights to destroy it at any point.
Sculptures are not human beings. Dumb analogy.

I do not recognize your fictional god character's right to kill people.

His limits are: He cannot violate His own attributes. To do so would make him not-God.

So He can't just wave a magic wand to get everyone to Heaven.

They are temporary, and material, just like our bodies.

And yes--if you destroy someone else's artwork, that is felonious. In terms of humans, it could be murder.

But the artist destroying her own artwork cannot commit felonious destruction.

You just don't like that.

I know and my point is that God doesn't ever send anybody to Hell. They send themselves there and it's their own fault if they go there because the condition is pretty simple. Just choose Christ as your savior. It's not rocket science.
