Zone1 Why do members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Baptize for the Dead?

That's not true. God has given the keys to the Jews for they have kept the Covenant ever since it was established. I have been to the kingdom of God but it was a Jew who refused to unlocked the door to let me in. If you read the scriptures translated by Joseph Smith you will see the proof for yourself. Of course, you have to know if it's the one written in stone or the one written in gold. There are slight differences between the two but on the point of who was given the keys it is clearly written in both of them. When God was asked he replied,

“The Mormons have lost their way and have become a Cult. I had high hopes for them in the beginning but they are now more concerned about themselves and no long revere the Ten Commandments, particularly the 1st. and the 9th.”
So, why were 10 and a half tribes removed from their covenant? Why did Judah and Benjamin get kicked out of their lands for a time? Then, kicked out again and no prophets and the temple destroyed in 70AD. No, Judah (Jews) and all of Israel lost their priesthood keys and power and authority 2,000 years ago. No temple, no priesthood, no keys.

You’re the one that can’t read. Paul said people in the church’s of his day were baptizing for the dead. He died in 67 AD. Your teaching says the Church started with Petter in about 33 AD. So, baptisms for the dead were performed by your Church. (I don’t believe your Church began with Peter. The apostasy happened well before) But you are contradicting yourself. Funny.
How many churches? Where? Was Paul doing these baptisms? Could another interpretation be just as viable? Was this rare practice (even if your interpretation is correct) taken up anywhere else than Corinth? My belief is your belief is wrong. Therefore let's proxy change your interpretation, saying it is really you saying it's wrong.

Typical Mormon Cult nonsense: All lies.

I don't know. Your Catholic Church says it goes back to Peter. So, they should have that record of how many Churches there were in 60AD or whatever when Paul wrote the letter to the Corinthians reminding them why they are baptizing for the dead. Let me help you. Paul wrote letters to 7 major churches (Rome, Corinth, Galatia, Ephesus, Philippi, Colossae, Thessalonica) and addressed others to individuals (like Timothy, Titus, and Philemon) who led house churches, with some scholars suggesting he wrote to an eighth church (the one in Philemon's house) or even more, totaling around 9-10 churches in his letters, often symbolically linked to the seven churches in Revelation. Does this help? Apparently, all but the Corinthians Church wasn't questioning their work for the dead and the resurrection. But, they were all doing it.

There is no other interpretation. Pretty simple. Else why do you baptize for the dead if the dead not rise at all? Why then baptized for the dead. Pretty clear to those who aren't biased and willing to learn.

Typical Mormon Cult nonsense: All lies.
Name calling doesn't work.
I haven't called you a name yet. But soon I probably will.
Just another attempt to look silly.
You've been caught in several lies and dodging one issue after another. If you are a typical representative of the Mormon Cult then it should be classified as a terror group and be eliminated. In any case, the Mormons glorify and encourage murdering people just because they are from a different country. I am sure God doesn't like you.

I haven’t lied once. You continue to lie because you have a limited knowledge about everything.

You've been caught in several lies .....
I haven’t lied once.
You have lied to me at least twice and you lied to Meriweather at least once. Would you like proof? And, as Meriweather has pointed out, it seems to be a standard Mormon Cult practice to lie about others and to others.

Perhaps you ought to look at the events right here on this thread and maybe you'll discover that your ears are as faulty as your eyes? Just saying. :26:

There is no other interpretation.
Try a more in depth research. More interpretations are readily available. LDS has chosen one of these for their belief, and chose to build their entire faith around that one belief, ignoring all others who hold a different belief.

Not true. In fact, the Church is requesting that we use other bibles because it may help with more simple language. You are
So ignorant the Church and yet behave like you are an expert. As
Soon as you become humble in sight of the Lord he will lift you up to real truth and understanding.

You lied when you said I was talking about excommunication and then you lied again when you said I wrote it. This is typical Mormon Cult dishonesty. And let's face it, it is also a lie to say you can get the approval of the dead to be baptised. That is really childish nonsense. :laughing0301:

Why Latter-day Saints Practice Baptism for the Dead?
Because the Church itself is a ridiculous Cult. God oversees everything in the spirit world. He knows if someone wants to be a member of the Mormon Cult. God doesn't need some silly humans prancing about, singing camp-fire songs and sprinkling water all over the place. The living are left behind. They are not in the spirit world and they have nothing to do with it at all. Such human rituals are only to make Cult leaders rich by duping the followers to believe the Cult is sought-after and praised. The Mormon Cult is a blasphemy that defiles God’s Covenant with humanity. The dead should be left alone to enjoy or suffer from whatever deeds that he/she invested in life. God dislikes the Mormon Cult but let us hope that He is lenient to those who were duped into contributing to it. 😇

You people try to distract away from the truth. Thats all you’re doing. The fact is, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only way to exaltation in the kingdom of God because we have the truth of Jesus Christ. Through his commandment to be baptized by water and of the spirit by true authority of faith and belief in Jesus Christ. If I mixed you up with someone else, that’s not what a lie is. So, stop deflecting.

Your the ridiculous one for denying the words of Paul and Peter.

Who are “my people”?
The fact is ...
"The fact"? Oh boy ….. this is going to be good!
we have the truth of Jesus Christ.
You talk about the truth of Jesus while you blurt out a string of lies. So, you expect Jesus to tell the truth but it’s OK for you to lie as if on a conveyor belt.

Not the dead. You are lying ……. AGAIN.
If I mixed you up with someone else, that’s not what a lie is.
That’s not what you said. When I challenged you you doubled-down and repeated the lie. Therein your pathetic lies are revealed. Typical Mormon Cult method of lying.
