liberals don't hate christianity ... they don't like the Idea of any religion forcing their religious beliefs on us .... thats what we don't like... as for Islam, they aren't the largest faith here in the US, christian are ... if Islam tried to do the shit that christians do, we would be in their face too... you just don't get it ... if we don't believe in a god, in this country, that is our right to do so... its not christians right to force us to believe in a god ... its not a case we hate christians, we just don't want them ******* up the country with their religious beliefs in our laws... get it moron

The far left loves to force their beliefs on others, yet does not like it if some other group (religion) does it. So it is jealousy then. The far left wants to be the ruling religion and squash all others.

I'm curious what you believe is being forced upon you by Christianity. The Ten Commandments posted at a school or a courthouse isn't forcing anyone to practice Christianity is it? Yet liberals will howl and cry Theocracy.

There are prominent christians in politics who specifically state they want their bible to be used as the source of law in the land. That only christians should be allowed to teach in schools, serve in the military or hold public office.

Roy Moore, ex judge, ran for ALabama Sentor 2 years ago. He states he wants homosexuality made a crime again!

he was endorsed by trump and almost won the senate seat.
Mike Pence VP, has stated that he is a "christian first, a conservative second and a republican third"....

The primary reason is that it's fake, existing as a belief by the mentally disadvantaged with zero proof whatsoever of any foundation to support it. There is no proof of it's espoused foundation, "god," nada, nothing, yet when you as for it, the "christians" say "accept it on faith." They have no realization of it's founding, which was merely to exercise control over the ignorant masses. In that regard, it has been very successful.

Since it has no scientific foundation at all, I choose to ignore it, despite the loud, postulations of the "believers."

I think one of the reasons liberals hate Christianity is that one of the liberal main objectives is the freedom and material uplifting of the masses. Christianity is designed to uplift certain groups at the expense of other groups. It places a low value on the lives and dignity of human beings.

All human beings are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) all human beings have immeasurable worth and value, because we are created and loved by God. It is actually the atheistic Darwinian worldview that states that we are nothing special, just evolved apes that came about by random chance out of a pool of sludge.

OK, I'm very late to this thread, and don't know if anyone else has made the points I'm going to, but the answer is very clear and obvious.

Modern LIbEralism has turned away from basic standards of decency and morality; to embrace all manner of immorality, perversion, madness, and outright evil.

Christianity is perceived as the major source of support for the standards of decency that LIbErals eschew. Those who do evil do not like being called out on it, and Christianity calls out LIbErals for the evil that they do.

Liberals don't "hate" any religion -- that's why they invented freedom of it in founding this country. It's part of the philosophy that religion has nothing to do with politics.

Typical christian has no idea what is in their own book.
Such as Leviticus 19:34, "The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you", along with tons of other references.

Liberals do not "pretend to be atheists". As a political philosophy Liberalism simply has no relation to religion. What it does say is that "personal religious beliefs" is a redundant phrase, ergo the State has no business mandating any religious practice because that's an individual's choice.

AGAIN ---- Liberalism is a political philosophy; just as it has no relation to religion, it has no relation to "standards of decency and morality". Those are what we call social mores. Liberalism doesn't believe those can be legislated.

Why do Russians continue to post threads claiming that liberals hate Christianity when 60% of liberals ARE CHIRSTIANS. Why do Republicans think that those who believe in a separation of church and state, are opposed to Christians.

Liberals want religion left out of politics, period. We opposed evangelical Christianity and their fundamentalist beliefs, and "prosperity Christians" both of which are a particulary corrupt and American off-shoot of Christianity, being inflicted upon the general population, via the pandering of Republicans to these voters.

Any religion which involves itself in politics, is corrupt, by definition. The corruption of the Catholic Church's involvement in European politics, lead to the Reformation.
