Oh, and as a side note, have I mentioned just how bad ass the side profile of the F-16 is?

We used to get lots of air shows here in Dallas, Texas..........especailly once the big airport was constructed.

The Blue Angels used to come here a lot and do some fly shows at the airports on holidays. I miss it.

We even went to see the Concorde land on it's first run into the USA. It landed at DFW Airport in the 70s, and The Blue Angels gave a show for that weeked too.

So much fun.

I miss it. I love seeing those jets do their things. I've always wanted to see a Herrier do its thing too. But they stopped air shows in the 80s for some reason. If they've even had any more, they've never advertised them.

No, I still live in DFW........they just stopped having shows.

Don't know why.

There used to be air shows here, balloon shows, and antique plane shows.
I haven't seen or heard of any since the late 80s.

Yep. Like I said, they don't come to Dallas anymore.
And I can't travel to other cities, so if they don't come here, I'm outta luck.

It doesn't HAVE to be The Blue Angels. Thats just who toured a lot around here back then. They were the "big show" that came to town a couple times a year.

They can't hit every city in the US. They try to get maximum exposure. Watch for shows at NAS Ft. Worth--often they have air shows during holidays like Armed Forces Day etc.
