Why do Jews vote democrat?

There are only 2 years left in his Presidency and then Republicans won't have to worry about him anymore. While there was certainly anti semitism, anti catholic, anti black sentiment around, America was still the most tolerant country around.

I've actually always been stumped on this one myself being that Jews tend to be wealthier, hence benefiting from Republican economic policies, and the far left is extremely anti-Semitic.

I'm left and my wife is extreme left, yet we still have Jewish friends. Some in England and one in Israel.
All Jews are not wealthy.

The real explanation is that Jews tend to side with the underdog, being themselves in that position historically. Thus the NAACP was founded by Jews, who also played a big role in the civil rights movement. The GOP otoh has a strong WASP component and a religious Christian contingent that makes non religious Jews uncomfortable.
How long the Dems will be able to trade on historic associations in light of their growing anti semitism and anti-Israel agenda is a question.
