Why Black Voters Should Hate The Democrat Party

conservative views and respect for God

What a stupid statement that shows your conservative bigotry about religion and the right and the left.

Respect for God should entail respect for all of his creatures, asshole.:lol:

so this thread is what GOP hacks and right-wing nuts think will drive the voters back to them.....LOL.

The Voters have already Turned... And if Barry Continues to Defy his Constituency, he will Lose his Job in 2012.

:)

peace...

I think that at this point the tide has turned from "Guaranteed Second Term" to "Second Term if the GOP Screws Up."

For example, Obama will walk to a 40+ State victory against Sarah Palin. However, if the GOP runs Mitt Romney I know that I'll pull the lever for an "R", something I didn't think I'd do again for at least 10 years.

I'm really curious how the GOP primaries will play out. If the Tea Baggers pick the nominee, the GOP will blow it. If the middle has moved and the GOP capitalize on it though...

Lonestar: In answer to the last question, I'll help you out, since I think you are too lazy to look it up.

I see...in all these years...THREE republicans.
93 democrats
. ---> Since 1929.
Grand Total: THREE REPUBLICANS.
THREE.

Hmmm..

Lazy? Perhaps you have nothing better to do with your time, like work, but I certainly do. From your source: The election of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1932 led to a shift of black voting loyalties from Republican to Democrat, as Roosevelt's New Deal programs offered economic relief to blacks. From 1940 to 1970, nearly five million blacks moved north and also west, especially to California in the second wave of the Great Migration. By the 1960s, virtually all black voters were Democrats and most were voting in states outside the former Confederacy.

I am working. Right now. I own my own business, so I can arrange my time as I like. Poor you, huh?

And I don't know what you mean "my source" - I posted a list of Black Republicans elected since 1932, in direct reply back to your long unattributed Larry Elder cut & paste, where you posted the words as if they were your own (making you a plagerizing LIAR...and I do believe violates copywrite laws here) -- In direct reply to this comment made by you, uh, I mean Elder:

"How many people know that following the Civil War, 23 blacks -- 13 of them ex-slaves -- were elected to Congress, all as Republicans? The first black Democrat was not elected to Congress until 1935, from the state of Illinois. The first black congressional Democrat from a Southern state was not elected until 1973."
Mr. Elder, I mean you, failed to to note that since then ONLY THREE Black republicans have been elected to Congress since then. THREE. To the Democrats NINETY THREE.

Your party has had ample time in the last 50 years or so to bring black republicans to Congress and elect them.

Have you?

I see, so that list you just pulled out of your ass huh?

I've already explained why blacks shifted from the republican party to the democratic party but your too fucking stupid to comprehend it. So what I used Elders words without acknowledging him. What are you gonna do sue me? Ban me? Go tell your mommy?!? Grow the fuck up!

Oh I guess its just a coincedence that your list and wikipedia's list are identical. Oh but you didn't use any source. Did ya? You fucking liar!

African Americans in the United States Congress - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Actually, the blacks voted enmasse for the first black president. It had zero to do with politics actually. This is why many blacks becoming disillusioned with Obama today, as are many Democrats. You can throw in the GOP and independents too. Hell, I apologize for singling out groups, all Americans becoming disillusioned with Democrats and Obama. Who isn't? Right Winger?

Nothing has changed for the black man, it's only gotten worse under Obama, and deliberately too.

The Bush administration loaded up with minorities in senior positions. Powell, Rice, Gonzalez, to name a few. Exceptional people.

"Why Black Voters Should Hate The Democrat Party"

.........says the white Republican voter.....
As a black man, I can tell you...I don't have much consideration for Republicans or anything Southern for that matter.

Most blacks, I believe, feel this way...and with good reason.

Of course there's the token one, two or three who may disagree, but they are quite the minority.

Like someone already posted, just take a gander at the current Republican party line-up and their line-up for the last 30-50 years.

The evidence is OVERWHELMING.

Republicans, you're not fooling a damn soul but yourselves.

Carry on.

:cool:

It's because you enjoy being told you can't compete successfully with white people and so need special treatment? Or is it because you want to continue being the "house ******" for the Democratic Party?

What an evil person you are. How in the hell did you ever get filled with so much hate??? That was a very vicious and unkind thing you said. You can't go through life treating people that way without paying for it. It is really going to suck to be you. Ever hear of bad Karma??

It's because you enjoy being told you can't compete successfully with white people and so need special treatment? Or is it because you want to continue being the "house ******" for the Democratic Party?
None of the above, and if you believe that then that says more about you and your racist views than it does about anyone else.

I will pray for you.

Wow. You are a lot more gracious than I could ever be in your place. That's an admirable attitude you have.

I can't believe the negative impact that centuries of Democrat racism have had on this nation. It's time to fix our people.

If a Republican issued these words, instead of Democrat Harry Reid there would be hell:

as a "light-skinned" African-American "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

Many Democrats opposed the abolition of slavery, and not just the one's in the South either:
The Copperheads were a vocal group of Democrats in the Northern United States (see also Union (American Civil War)) who opposed the American Civil War, wanting an immediate peace settlement with the Confederates. Republicans started calling antiwar Democrats "copperheads", likening them to the poisonous snake. The Peace Democrats accepted the label, but for them the copper "head" was the likeness of Liberty, which they cut from copper pennies proudly wore as badges. [1]

The Copperheads had numerous important newspapers, but the editors never formed an alliance. In Chicago, Wilbur F. Storey made the Chicago Times into Lincoln's most vituperative enemy. The New York Journal of Commerce, originally abolitionist, was sold to owners who became Copperheads, giving them an important voice in the largest city. A typical editor was Edward G. Roddy, owner of the Uniontown, Pennsylvania Genius of Liberty. He was an intensely partisan Democrat who saw black people as an inferior race and Abraham Lincoln as a despot and dunce. Although he supported the war effort in 1861, he blamed abolitionists for prolonging the war and denounced the government as increasingly despotic. By 1864 he was calling for peace at any price.

Hell, look at the overwhelming percentage of Democrats compared to Republicans who opposed the Civil Rights Act:
The original House version:

* Southern Democrats: 7-87 (7%-93%)
* Southern Republicans: 0-10 (0%-100%)

* Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%-6%)
* Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%-15%)

The Senate version:

* Southern Democrats: 1-20 (5%-95%) (only Senator Ralph Yarborough of Texas voted in favor)
* Southern Republicans: 0-1 (0%-100%) (this was Senator John Tower of Texas)
* Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%-2%) (only Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia opposed the measure)
* Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%-16%) (Senators Barry Goldwater of Arizona, Bourke Hickenlooper of Iowa, Edwin L. Mechem of New Mexico, Milward L. Simpson of Wyoming, and Norris H. Cotton of New Hampshire opposed the measure)

Responding to allegations that Martin Luther King, Jr. was a communist, the Kennedy administration agreed to let the Federal Bureau of Investigation wiretap private individuals, including Martin Luther King, Jr. This continued under Democrat Lyndon Johnson by the way.

Some day, when everyone has an opportunity to read and learn history, and realize today who the Democrats are, they will agree that Democrats are the Party of racism against blacks, bar none.

Always have been, always will be...........

Something tells me that you're not black, right?

I was thinking that earlier. There are several people on here that are such experts on African-Americans. They know everything about them and I'll bet not one of them is black.

How does posting quotes from 50-150 years ago impact how blacks should vote today?

precisely. the democratic party of today bears little resemblance to the party of a century ago... or even to the party of 50 years ago. Black Americans know this.

The republican author of this thread may think that blacks OUGHT to hate the democratic party, but, to his obvious chagrin, they feel exactly the opposite.

What is fun is to watch is when republicans try to twist and turn away from their OWN racism when they attempt to EXPLAIN that phenomenon.

If truth be known, probably neither party was fair in the past. But both sides need to own it.

But both sides need to own it.

And that is my point. Democrats completely own the racism and poor treatment of blacks since the 1800s. Republicans have done little to be in the same racist book as Democrats, never mind the same page.

Nothing has changed for the black man, it's only gotten worse under Obama, and deliberately too.

Blacks' support for Obama has averaged 93% during his time in office, and has been at or above 90% nearly every week during his presidency. Thus, part of the reason Obama's support among nonwhites has not dropped as much as his support among other groups is because of his consistent support from blacks. (With Hispanics' approval rating down five points, greater declines among Asians, Native Americans, and those of mixed races account for his total seven-point drop among nonwhites.) Check out the chart in this article.

Obama's Approval Slide Finds Whites Down to 39%

Blacks still seem to support Obama and like him just fine.

Its really no big deal. Everyone has their cross to bear. Jesus said on His cross..."forgive them...for the know not what they do."

Its really ignorance that has a hold of that boy. I actually pity him. Hence I'll pray for him.

Don't try to straighten that imaginary halo of yours. You are actually trying to make people believe that only Dems own it and Republicans not at all??

I am dead serious. Call 911 and tell them to take you immediately to the nearest mental hospital. You should not be walking around without supervision. You are really a psycho.

Then show us how Republicans came anywhere close to the hate, slavery supporting, lynching, and racism of the Democrats throughout history.

I know you're right, but I find it so hard sometimes. But I'm working on it. :)

Don't call me a psycho because you are wrong and can't answer a question.

That's a cop out.
