The way it works in the US is, you wait till a crisis occurs, then blame Trump and the GOP, and then you use the crisis to implement some sort of legislative cure that is wide sweeping and changes the very fabric of society into a Left wing social engineering model of some sort.

We should have been burying our grid for years now but no one wants to pay for it. The typical problem. Should have been converting electric to hydrogen storage during non peek hours along of a slew of other things we should have been doing.
