Why are Mexican, Canadian, and EU Tariffs on US Goods Okay?

The tariffs were clearly outlined by Trump as a message to Canada and Mexico to do more of their share in stopping drugs (specifically Fentanyl) from crossing into the U.S. from their borders. It had 0 to do with 'revenge' you just reached up your ass and pulled that out.

Trump has done more good in less than a month than Biden did in 4 years. In fact, Biden did more to tear down America.

To say Trump is 'incompetent' is ludicrous and full of Marxist propaganda. I usually just give your leftist, radical Marxist screeds a laughing face but, I thought I'd take the time to tear this one apart. BTW, all your posts are too long and filled with Marxist propaganda.
Do you ever use your brain?

Tariffs are supposed to be used for economic purposes. They are not supposed to be BULLY tools. Yes, they work as bully tools if they generate the right response but if they don't, the person using them (Trumps) loses more than he gains.

If the countries don't react to the bully tool and Trump removes the tariffs, he proves he is a liar and if he doesn't remove them and the countries take him up on the tariffs, we lose more than we gain (as what happened in Trump's first term).

Trump is "shooting from the hip and blindly to see what sticks" and that is a gamble that has dire consequences. What is worse is that he is not only doing it with one issue but with all. As such, the probabilities are high that more misses than hitting-the-target will occur and any miss is going to cost all of us DEARLY.

What is worse is that he is doing it on his own (does not listen to anyone) and his track record of misses is more than most. Simply speaking he is gambling with our lives and he loses a lot.

Another idiotic post. Marxists like you value money over lives, it's so obvious. Besides, tariffs support American manufacturing.

Tariffs are bad and it makes no sense to imitate bad behavior.
Tell that to the many many countries who have placed tariffs on American goods.

Leo, you are a total idiot.

What I stated is pure common sense seen for all of history, It is pure human nature and if you can't see it, it will be impossible for you to ever do anything rational in your life.

I TRULY pity you. You are a total wreck of a man who lives, feeds, and depends on Trump

Screw off, Mr. AI, you come off like a pompous jackwagon. What you stated was Marxist garbage. Adjust your algorithm, bot.

By the way, you are now a total waste of time and for that reason, I am putting you on ignore,

Well, they sure didn't care much about watching their borders before Trump did they? Guess it took threats of tariffs to make them pay attention. Trump plays hardball.
Where does the ‘negotiating with allies’ come in? Trump has actually blinked and looks weak, since just days ago he said there was no time for talking, but now has agreed to a 30 delay! Sounds like someone who didn’t realize what he was getting himself into.

I truly did not want to make you look like an idiot, but you have forced my hand

Your article about tariffs from Mexico does not apply to the U.S. Those tariffs are for other countries

We have had a free trade agreement with Mexico for many years. It was originally NAFTA but when Trump was president, he changed it to USMCA. since 2020

Mexico is part of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), a free trade agreement that went into effect on July 1, 2020. The USMCA replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which was signed in 1994.

The free trade agreement was to specifically done for this: U.S. exporters are encouraged to carefully examine the list of impacted products and be aware of the opportunity to take advantage of the USMCA special compliance and tariff treatment to see potential exports to Mexico.

On a general note though, tariffs are often necessary but each administration has to examine the pros and cons of doing them and to what degree. In 2017 the tariffs that the U.S. put on China cost us more than whatever benefits it brought. Wee the citizens paid more, many of our companies (like Agriculture suffered big losses) and the costs were higher than the profits.

These tariffs are being done more for revenge than for benefit to us (almost all analysts agree and the WSJ said it was the most stupid move ever mad).

On thing you constantly ignore and that is that Trump is incompetent (does not know what he is doing) and he does not listen to anyone so as a administration (group of people) they can all come up with a good plan. Things that are done that way are almost always going to end up a failure. You refuse to see what is staring you in the fac.

"Mexico - Import Tariffs

Includes information on average tariff rates and types that U.S. firms should be aware of when exporting to the market.

There are no tariffs for products made in the United States that meet NAFTA rules of origin requirements. However, there are several exceptions and caveats noted below that may affect overall pricing of U.S. exports. See http://export.gov/FTA/nafta/index.asp for a thorough explanation of NAFTA certificates of origin as well as the “What’s My Tariff” tool. The U.S.–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA) will adjust rules of origin for some products, thus affecting their tariff treatment. For future developments and information on eventual agreements in connection with the USMCA, visit the Office of United States Trade Representative website at www.ustr.gov. Few U.S. exports are subject to antidumping duties that limit access to the Mexican market. A list of these products may be found at the U.S. International Trade Administration’s page on Mexico Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duty Measures."

Why are these exceptions okay, but US tariffs are not?

If the Mexicans and to a lesser extent the Canadians stop the smuggling of fentanyl and the flood of illegal aliens. over the border, wouldn't that be good for the American People?

WASHINGTON D.C. – The European Union launched tariffs on billions of dollars worth of American goods in response to President’s Trump’s tariffs on steel and aluminum.

On Friday, the EU slapped tariffs of 25% on more than $3 billion in U.S. goods including motorcycles and bourbon."

Am I supposed to know what you want to say here?

You were speaking of the EU's free trade policies.

My article shows that the EU uses tariffs.

Okay, do I have to keep asking the obvious questions every time, or would you mind just saying what you actually want to say with your source when you post it?

I figured you could read the article's title and figure it out yourself.
