The Democrats, media, and the USMB progressives are crying the blues over the Trump admin threatening to put tariffs on Canadian, Mexican, and EU goods and products. Why aren't they complaining about Canadian, Mexican, and EU tariffs on US goods and products? If tariffs are so bad, why do these countries use them against the US?

"Mexico import tariff increases

The new Mexican customs provisions state that the following goods are subject to the tariff increase (between 5% to 50%), effective April 23, 2024:

Steel
Aluminum
Textiles
Clothing
Footwear
Wood
Plastic
Furniture
Chemicals
Paper and cardboard
Ceramics
Glass
Electrical materials
Transportation (car parts, generators, bicycles, among others)
Musical instruments  "

I am still waiting for Trump to bring down prices like he promised
/---/ Why? You were perfectly happy with Bidum jacking prices up.
Besides that, you're looking at the Jan 15th report that states the December prices. Trump was sworn in on Jan 20th. The February report will only reflect his first 10 days in office. It won't be until the Feb report published in March that will reflect the first month.
I'm sure you gave Bidum at least 6 months for his idiotic policies to kick in.

So you’re one of the dummies that thought Trump was going to have your mess all cleaned up instantly eh? What a clown you are.

I am the dummy?
Trump promised bring down prices on day one

Did he lie to us or just think we are stupid?

What action has Trump made that will bring down prices?

Sometimes tariffs are put on certain goods and have a good reason for doing so, like protecting a product they think is important. Usually when this happens the other country will also have tariffs on things they think are important.

What Trump is doing is just "tariffs on everything" for no reason other than "I'm a ****, and I can".

In Trumps flurry of actions
What has he done that will bring down prices?

He is now telling us we will have to endure some “pain”

Why are their tariffs on our goods ok, but ours on their goods aren’t?

How can you even ask such a question? These countries are following Trump's guidelines and beliefs. Trump is all about payback and revenge and Mexico, Canada and China are doing what Trump does............playing his game in his park.

It would be hilarious, except for the fact that WE (the citizens) are the ones that pay for them. We are the losers in this game

My answer is I would rather have economic alliances than trade wars
/---/ What if the other countries started the trade wars?
President Trump has repeatedly criticized the EU for treating the US car industry unfairly, threatening to raise the tariff on European cars to 25 percent, from the current rate of 2.5 percent. The European Union currently imposes a 10 percent tariff on US cars, in fact creating an unlevel playing field for US car makers trying to sell American-made models to European markets.

As the following chart shows, automobile trade between the United States and the EU is a fairly lopsided affair. In 2018, the EU exported 1,155,488 cars worth $43.1 billion to the US, while the US shipped 267,653 cars worth $6.3 billion to the 28 EU member states. In an interview with German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, Germany’s Secretary of Commerce Peter Altmaier said that the EU would be open to dropping the levy on American cars altogether, but only if it comes as part of a broader tariff agreement.
