I always find it interesting that "Christians" are quick to attack Christians in defense of them who deny Christ. Very revealing!!

That's hilarious. Apparently you think everyone but you live in a fallen world. Everyone, but you and your organizations, are totally innocent, perfect in every way. Jews and Catholics don't lose the fight when they fall, because both Jews and Catholics get up, set things right, and move onward. All throughout history Jews have fallen, and all throughout history got up and moved forward. Catholics, throughout the past two thousand years, have worked to emulate that. The very “Christians” screaching “anti-Christ” at me are THEMSELVES anti-Christ. For Jesus would not have wanted them to spew venom at Jews with nasty attacks, and thus they are acting IN OPPOSITION to what Jesus taught. Is THAT how they are employing the Golden Rule. They are horrible examples of “Christians.”

But you, my friend, exemplify what Jesus would want.

I haven't lied about you. I responded to your post. Further, an anti-Christ is not someone who does not accept Christ. An anti-Christ is an active opponent of Christ, working against him, his Ways, his Church.

Lisa has done none of that, just as I have done nothing against Hindus other than say I do not worship Brahman. Lisa does not worship Jesus, she worships God and is faithful to the word of God. Again, Jesus said he did not come for those who got things right; like a physician who comes to the sick, he came for those who were having troubles getting things right in a fallen world/society.

A few falsely accused Jesus, a Jew. Lisa is a Jew, and like Jesus, is being falsely accused. Hopefully, it only by a few.

Different ways to interpret that. He didn’t mean Jews should worship him as a god-figure. That is a totally foreign concept to Jews. He just meant to be good, and follow the Golden Rule, and have compassion for the sick, be kind to people.,etc.

You raise a good point about being anti-Christ. Being anti-Christ would be if I were to litter car windshields with a flyer in a church parking lot, proclaiming Jesus was just a man and that Christians need to drop their belief.

(You know….sort of like what the Evangelical Christians do to the cars in the Synogogue parking lot, warning us about hell and all that.)

The reason for the antisemitism differs depending on whether the antisemite is on the right or on the left.

Antisemites on the right: On the right, as Carl, Saxon, and other fundamental Christians show, it’s all religion-based. They smear and denigrate Jews living in the 21st century because a small little group of 1st century Jews were angry at Jesus, and might have influenced his crucifixion. Basically, 2,000 years ago, when there were about 5 million Jews, 0.0001% of them hated Jesus. The other 99.999% never heard of the guy.

I'm sure a lot more knew about Jesus at the time he lived (if he actually lived) or in the decades following. Even Josephus talks about Jesus and his followers, and that's about as contemporary as you get.

More to the point, the theological question is that Christians believe Jesus fulfilled prophecy and Jews deny he did. As an atheist, I find this argument to be a little silly. But if you think there's a magic man in the sky telling you what kind of sex to have or what kind of food to eat, there you are.

Antisemites on the left: Today, most of the antisemites are on the Left, screaming “Death to Jews,” bullying the Jewish kids, setting up “No Jew Zones,” etc., etc. The root of these antisemites is their resentment that a small little tribe, subjected to the worst persecution and bigotry for 2,000 years, manages to rise above to become above-average in achievement: Nobel prizes, educational attainment, income, whatever. It shows that with the right attributes and choices in life, racism or bigotry does NOT hold people back. IOW, it reveals the lie to the Left’s insistence that blacks are mired in poverty due to racism.

You try to pretend that people on the left don't have a disagreement with you that is valid. I would say the opposite. If you are against racism, against colonialism, against the First World exploiting the Third World (liberal), then supporting Israel is ideologically impossible.

The real problem is Jews are now accepted as white people, and their first response has been, "Let's do all the awful stuff that White people do!"

It reminds me of when I was in college and much more conservative than I am now. Anyway, I was in the Student Government, and we had this smarmy liberal Jew who was trying to impress the black kids with how down with the struggle he was by oppossing Apartheid in South Africa. To which I asked him, "So how is that any different than what Israel does to the Palestinians?"
