Who is the most underrated NBA player in history? My 2 submissions.

You don’t like comparing different generations because young jordan had to beat Utah, Ewing, bad boys, Larry, magic, Hakeem, Barkley, Portland, SuperSonics, Alonzo mourning, All the hof players who don’t have rings because of Jordan.
I address this. MJ didn’t defend or deal with any of those players
Subjectively, Michael did it better. Lebron is imitating Jordan. A bad impersonation. Missing the hunger and ability to take over a game. Jordan wouldn’t let kyrie get out of line. He handled Rodman. It was tough but he did it.

Lebron won two with Wade and Bosch. He promised more but that fell apart. Haslem was on that team too.

Jordan knew when to walk. Brilliant. That adds to his legacy.
And this is just your emotional, sentimental glazing… you don’t make points. You just give eulogies

I know why you avoided all the actual points I made. Everyone on here does

More point per game in the playoffs. And that was back when they played tough D.

Jordan was Defensive player of the year once. Did Lebron ever do that? This is why jordan won more and is better. That and the playoff points per game.

All defensive team 9 times

Lebron never won this award and was all defense team only 6 times.

Lebron was number 10 on the greatest athlete list. Jordan was 1. Drop mic.

And ask nba players past and present they say jordan. You know more than them?

Take everything into consideration.

1. Was it efficient? I gave stats that it often wasn’t. You ignore that because.. derp
2. PPG isn’t the only metric. Lebron scored elite but also was far superior to Jordan in rebounds and assists, blocks, etc. You focus only on points because… derp

1. Jordan faced minimal historic talent at the PG position, I outline this. You ignore it because… derp
2. Jordan was likely marginally the better defender than Lebron, but if you want to play that game, Bill Russell was a better defender
than MJ easily.

You are like a child in sports debates. It’s hilarious

Based on what? LOL. Siri? LMAO

You’re easily convinced

Not all. But perspective and anecdotes are weak evidence

2016 finals Lebron was down 3 to 1 and came back to win it all. Maybe they’ll suspend Anthony Edwards for two games. Lol

That’s a reference to when Draymond green got suspended games 5 & 6. Otherwise Lebron really only has 3. And if you count the Covid win with the lakers, lame. So two good wins with Miami. Needed and got a lot of help.

What settles it is jordan was better defense. Yes he was the tallest and greatest guard. Him and pippin vs who? Dumars and Isaiah did it best. Stockton Malone tried.

So many greats who never won because of Jordan and Hakeem alajuwan

Hardly. Draymond Green was hit or miss, but the Cavs likely win even with Green in. If it was Curry or Thompson you might have half of a point, but how desperate do you have to be to say Draymond Green was going to take down the Cavs. Wow.

Why? Did they get advantage? They beat everyone else.

That’s like saying MJs second three peat shouldn’t count because Bill Clinton was in office LOL.

LOL, and MJ didn’t?

Seriously, do you even think before you type?

They were losing 3 games to 1 when Green got tossed. Green is and always has been a part of Golden States Big 3. He's a HOF'er.

Yea, without their key defensive guy, Lebron got lucky as fuck. I give him credit for winning game 7 with Green back but Green was rusty after sitting 2 games.

Hit or miss? What does that even mean?

This suspension was a major factor in the Cavaliers winning the series after the Warriors had a 3-1 lead.

Game 1 Warriors win 104 to 89. Lebron team scoring under 90? Pathetic
Game 2 Warriors win 110 to 77. Even worse!
Game 3 in Cleveland wins 120 to 90.
Game 4 108 to 97. Another under 100 point game???

First of all, I could have sworn Green was out for games 5 and 6. Now they say he was only suspended game 5? That's not how I remember it. Interesting.

And, Barkley may not have been referring to when Green when he said maybe lebron will get lucky and the league will suspend Anthony Edwards.

It's possible Charles Barkley is suggesting Anthony Edwards may face a suspension due to his accumulated technical fouls. Edwards has already reached the 16-tech foul mark, triggering a one-game suspension, and is now at 18 after receiving two more technicals during the Lakers game. The NBA rules state that a player is suspended for one game after reaching 16 technical fouls, and then for an additional game for every two technical fouls beyond that. Barkley's comment could be hinting at the possibility of Edwards receiving further suspensions if he continues to accumulate technical fouls.

You not remembering how things went in history? No, that couldn’t possibly be.

LMAO

Even AI agrees with me

A list of top 10 athletes of all time is subjective, but based on dominance, achievements, and impact, here's a possible ranking:
  1. Michael Jordan: Considered by many to be the greatest basketball player of all time, with a legendary career in the NBA.

  2. Tiger Woods: A golf superstar who dominated the sport with numerous major championships and set records.

  3. Cristiano Ronaldo: A football (soccer) legend known for his scoring prowess and influence on the sport.

  4. LeBron James: A basketball icon with a remarkable career and influence in the NBA.

Twenty-five years ago, the ESPN SportsCentury project ranked the top 100 North American athletes of the 20th century. Michael Jordan came in first

However, some of the most commonly cited contenders include Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Phelps, and Jim Thorpe.

A dominant force in basketball, Jordan's six NBA championships, six Finals MVP awards, and 10 scoring titles are just a few highlights of his impressive career.

Again, if you and me were hanging with NBA players and we had this discussion, they'd say they agree with me. And you would say what to them? Would you come off as cocky and arrogant as you are with me on this?

I don’t listen to the opinion of AI for my worldview

Some good posts here but can't we just agree that both Jordan and Lebron are among the best players to ever play?

And in any event this was supposed to be an "under-rated" thread, and neither guy qualifies here.

I don’t listen to the opinion of AI for my worldview
Your opinion isn't a popular one. I think more people agreeing with me is an argument for why I'm right. I'm sure you can spin it so that consensus is for idiots.

I bet AI is right about things more times than you are.

People don't go to you to prove AI wrong. People go to AI to prove you wrong though.

Not people, just you.. and you don’t make anything more than a basic largely emotional appeal. It’s a bad argument for MJ. I could do a lot better

No all of us go to google and do a search to prove others wrong. You do something better than the rest of us? Of course you do! You're a know it all.

So you know I'm right. MJ is better. You could even do better than I have done explaining why.

Go ahead. What would you add to what I've said? I can't imagine what I missed. Did I miss some other reasons why Jordan is the goat?
