Who do you think the 9,000 Americans whom Biden left behind would vote for, if they had the chance?

Biden is president. He could have done anything to the process he wanted...lol. Are you saying Biden is too incompetent to make the necessary changes?
The US never keeps a count of Americans overseas in any country.

Biden should have been evacuating people long before he did, then.
The DOS officiallly told all Americans to get out, and there was no evacuation needed because Kabul's airport was open.

I would agree that Biden screwed up by not realizing the Afghan army would fold. And we should have had radio and internet advisories a month earlier saying "get out now if you want out."

But losing a war in never pretty. And we never should have supported nation building in either Afghan or Iraq.

?? How exactly do you evacute people that don't really want to go?
Biden shouldn't have snuck out in the middle of the night like a fucking coward, surrendering control to the Taliban. He should have maintained control until every US citizen was evacuated.

We didn't lose the war...lol

He is responsible for his part, that does not remove responsibility for others for their choices
The retreat is his part. He surrendered control to the Taliban prematurely. He failed to use force to hold back Taliban forces. That's all on him.

yeah we did. The taliban one. And W should rot in hell esp for throwing the Marines under the bus. Iraq is more .... complicated.
The Taliban never had the tactical advantage in Afghanistan.

No arguments from me. More to the point though, had he stuck with Trump's date the Taliban would not have been near the capital when we left.

That still does not remove the responsibility of those that choose to wait for the Govt to swoop in and save them instead of taking action themselves.

We snuck out in the middle of the night. That's a fact.
On live tv even.

Seriously, back in 2003 or so, did you really foresee a different result when W sent our guys in for an open ended term on nation building in ... fucking Afghan? I mean its been tried before......

Yep. The Generals testified that with 20 or 25 thousand fresh troops we could have driven the Taliban out of Kabul. Of Course with the high rate of casualties expected and the fact that the Taliban were still honoring the cease fire or truce the Trump negotiated, that would been extremely stupid, unless we were planning on re-invading, which nobody but those Generals wanted.
