I can't imagine all these so-called refugees who have probably made successful lives for themselves elsewhere would be willing to leave a country to go somewhere they have never been. Would they do this to spite the Jews or is everyone pushing these people on only fooling themselves that these millions of people will just simply pack their bags and go.

Who—and How Many—Are the Palestinian Refugees?
How, under the auspices of the UN Relief and Works Agency, can their numbers have exploded from 650,000 in 1948 to more than five million today?

In 1948, some 650,000 Arabs fled from Israel during Israel's war of independence against six invading Arab armies. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) was then formed to provide humanitarian aid to those Arab refugees. Sixty-five years later, UNRWA has grown into a huge, half-a-billion-dollar-a-year bureaucracy that claims a constituency of five million Palestinian-Arab refugees. How has the number of Palestinian refugees grown so dramatically? Is UNRWA helping resettle the refugees, or is it exacerbating the problem? Finally, why would the Palestinian Authority in negotiations for a Palestinian state insist that these refugees be moved to Israel?

What are the facts?

UNRWA's original definition of a refugee was someone "whose normal place of residencewas Palestine between June 1946 and May 1948, who lost both their homes and means of livelihood as a result of the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict." UNRWA began by providing emergency assistance, temporary shelters and basic relief. Soon after, UNRWA helped resettle the refugees in permanent housing and create educational and health institutions. But, unlike the treatment of refugees in all other wars, UNRWA dramatically and inexplicably expanded the definition of "refugee" to include descendants of Palestinian refugees.

Today, UNRWA claims more than five million Palestinian refugees, most of whom are in fact descendants and have never lived in Israel. UNRWA currently employs 30,000 people, mostly Arabs in Gaza and the West Bank. The organization receives more than $600 million annually to serve these people, almost 40% of which comes from the U. S., and the Palestinian economy has become absolutely dependent on this aid.

By the way, Wikipedia now says:

Genetic analysis suggests that a majority of the Muslims of Palestine, inclusive of Arab citizens of Israel, are descendants of Christians, Jews and other earlier inhabitants of the southern Levant whose core may reach back to prehistoric times. A study of high-resolution haplotypes demonstrated that a substantial portion of Y chromosomes of Israeli Jews (70%) and of Palestinian Muslim Arabs (82%) belonged to the same chromosome pool.[31] Since the time of the Muslim conquests in the 7th century, religious conversions have resulted in Palestinians being predominantly Sunni Muslim by religious affiliation, though there is a significant Palestinian Christian minority of various Christian denominations, as well as Druze and a small Samaritan community. Though Palestinian Jews made up part of the population of Palestine prior to the creation of the State of Israel, few identify as "Palestinian" today. Acculturation, independent from conversion to Islam, resulted in Palestinians being linguistically and culturally Arab.[16] The vernacular of Palestinians, irrespective of religion, is the Palestinian dialect of Arabic. Many Arab citizens of Israel including Palestinians are bilingual and fluent in Hebrew.

Give us a break. Most of these so-called refugees have never been in Israel and should never be considered as refugees. Most of those who left because the Arab armies told them to get out of the way so they could destroy the Jews are already dead. Very noticeable is the fact how their fellow Arabs have kept them as pawns in their fight against the Jews, but posters like you never mention that.

Well, one thing we can say is that 100% of the Zionist "refugees" to Palestine during the 20th century and shortly before were not born in Palestine and should not have been considered refugees.

If you want to know more about why Palestinian Arabs left, please read
http://www.usmessageboard.com/israel-and-palestine/358303-plan-dalet-al-nakba.html

And I doubt seriously there is an Arab country that is willing to fight Israel, and so need no pawns.

People reveal themselves by what that which they say and that which they choose to quote. For those
of us who have a grasp on the subject of population genetics and the history of the Levant---the above
paragraph is utterly meaningless. It represents the actual history of demography of the
levant in a fraudulent manner ---as for the analysis of the GENE POOL of the population-----it
simply described that which was known long before there was a "human genome" project----and
even long before the work of Watson and Crick. The paragraph, itself, is marred by the fact that it
represents a propagandaist POV rather than a cogent analysis of historical demographic shifts and
the influence of historical manifestations on the area GENE POOL As an example of
the propagandaist bent---notice that the piece IMPLIES that the only religion that ever
attracted converts -----has been islam. It also leaves out the fact that prior to
1948---the only people identified as "Palestinians" for about 1800 years were jews.
For jews the use of the term "Palestinian" simply indicates that the country Israel was
still PENDING and the area was under foreign control-----in fact, a kind of OCCUPATION.
For arab muslims----the term "Palestinian" has no actual historical basis----it is newly
adopted. It is neither an Arabic nor a Hebrew word. Written out in Hebrew script it
is OBVIOUSLY a foreign term-----for Arabic speakers----it is virtually not pronouncible----
I have no idea how it works out in Arabic script

At the same time you will find that every race on this earth has about the same percentage of Y chromosome haplotypes. It is part of our genetic make up as Homo Sapiens. The telling aspect is in the mitochondrial DNA that distinguishes the racial character and lineage of a person. The Jews all have a mitochondrial DNA pattern that is as distinct as fingerprints from that of the Palestinians.

I have a Palestinian friend from Hebron. He managed to get to the US on some temporary amnesty program. He has obtained US citizenship and owns his own business.

His wife and two pre teen daughters, however, are not allowed to even visit the US. They live in Jordan.

It goes to show you how much Palestinians are always jerked around. It is not like they can just get on with their lives.

They did not need to be born there as they had been invited to settle by the lands legal owners in accordance with their mandate. Just as the lands previous owners had also invited them to settle in Palestine because it was devoid of human life due to the arab muslims not liking the idea of hard work.

If you want to know more about why the arab muslims fled Palestine ask the inhabitants of the refugee camps why they left their homes in 1948. Much better to be told by people who were there than to read some ISLAMONAZI PROPAGANDA

Why, Mr. Tinmore, this same situation exists with Mexicans and Central Americans. I guess they are jerked around also.

I believe this was the same situation years ago when the Chinese came over here to work on the railroads, and they had to leave their wives in China, never to see them again.

TINNIE----your story is a bit strange----you did not state why the girls are barred from the
USA. Based on ---the circumstances of my life----I have been privy to lots of
immigrant exclusion stories -----there are all sorts of possibilities. Did the man marry in
the USA? There has to be a REASON -----if the man is married---has two children and
admitted these facts on his citizenship papers it is not likely that the kids and his wife
would be excluded----in fact they could become citizens unless there is some reason.
If he married in the USA-----admitting that he also has a wife and kids in Jordan---would
put his USA citizenship at risk. I know of such cases----muslims with extra wives here
and there------polygamists do not get US citizenship, so they tend to keep it quiet

I don't know. I did not give him the third degree. He doesn't like to talk about it. I only found out when he mentioned that he was taking a two week vacation in Jordan.

Apparently not, according to geneticists. Palestinians seem to have 85% identity with ancient Jews, as these studies have shown.

if you follow those links, some address Y-chromosome, some mitochondrial DNA.

Has anyone seen anything in a major newspaper or on the TV News about this earth-shattering finding. Now there is even a better possibility that the Egyptian Muslims are actually descendents of the early Christians who were lucky enough to survive the Arab onslaught. Can you imagine what would happen if the Muslims in Egypt found out and some of them said they wanted to return to the religion of their ancestors. My, my, these apostates better watch their back.

Sally I find it entertaining that a person who is utterly clueless on the topic of genetics---
STRUGGLES to use it for her worthless sophistry. The statement
***** Palestinians seem to have 85% identity with ancient Jews,*****
is utterly idiotic------we (or the imaginary "geneticists" to which
Enmity alludes) do not have samples of the DNA of ancient jews----furthermore
all the HUMANS ON THE PLANET----have at least 85% identity with each other---not
to mention with gorlllas. She seems to have been reading something like
"genetics for jihadists" For those interested-----one of the biggies in the islamo
Nazi propaganda for YEARS had been that jews have no historical connection to the
middle east but arose DE NOVO----somewhere in north asia. Genetic studies have
concluded that both jews and arabs have ancient links to the levant ---and the middle
east. It is not news-----it simply confirms the "jewish version" of history----it does
absolutely nothing or the islamo Nazi version-----so they STRUGGLE TO MAKE THE
GLASS SLIPPER FIT THEIR DEFORMED FEET. I doubt that ENMITY could come close
to explaining the importance of the Y chromosome in population genetics----let alone---
"mitochondrial dna"

Read the studies, watch the film. I am just parroting what the Israeli researchers are saying.

I have no training in genetics. I have read a little bit of genetic history like the Seven Daughters of Eve for example, but it is not enough of a background in genetics to interpret the data accumulated in these studies, which were published in top flight professional journals. They DO have samples of ancient Jewish DNA. This field is called archaeogenetics. It is being used currently to shed light on population migrations and ethnic histories all over the world. It is truly fascinating.

So all I can do is quote top flight geneticists. And YOU can't do more either.

Why not just accept it? Why does it bother you so much?

.... because if the Palestinians are descended from ancient Jews then you cannot justify ethnically cleansing them from Palestine.

Somehow you are unable to direct us to a top notch journal this the leading geneticists in the world read to find out new developements. Furthermore, you cannot direct us to anything regarding meetings these geneticists have had to discuss such important findings. Moreoever, something like this would have been picked up by the worldwide media and people all over the world would have heard of it by now. The viewers have the brains to realize that the only reason you are keeping up with this ad nauseam is that you want to convince them that all those so-called refugees are really Jews and should be allowed to waltz into Israel so that eventually your Muslim buddies will be able to take over the country, just like they are governing the rest of the huge, huge Middle East.

All your links on this subject are 30 years old and did not deal with mitochondrial DNA as the methods had not yet been invented. It is from ancient mitochondrial DNA extracted from teeth that the geneticists are able to trace ancestry back and show that the vast majority of Palestinians are recent migrants to the area. They also show that there was very little in the way of interbreeding, no doubt in part to the muslims following the dictates of their religion.

What you are getting confused with is the homo Sapien genome that is 85% of the total DNA from which we can say we descended from nomads out of Africa
