The Eisenhower raised taxes and built the interstate highway system.

The Reagan raised taxes, tried to build the military as well as tried to grant amnesty to a lot of immigrants.

I'd prefer the Eisenhower system over the Reagan system any day.

And oh yeah......Bush Jr. put the whole Iraq war on the credit card and made the deficit what it is today.

Obama has tried to fix this, but it's a lot of money that Jr. and Cheney as well as RumsFAILED pissed away for their war.

And, even though I served in the U.S. Navy under Reagan, I still think that he was a shitty president, and Trump is even worse than him.

Bush 41 and Reagan made way too many deals with Democrats to be included in the current Republican Party. Reagan and Bush raised taxes. Reagan made important reforms to Social Security funding that would get him labeled as a communist by talk radio. The current Republican Party is to the Right of Hitler when it comes to messianic nationalism and fear of "outsiders".

If a Republican wins, we will become a police state.

I was a sailor too, serving under Ford, Carter, and my reserve time under Reagan. I agree that Reagan was a shitty president. Reagan was a B movie actor whose claim to fame was playing second fiddle to a chimp. Trump has his reality show. They both have been divorced and remarried, Trump several times. Reagan had lots of optimism and was a likeable character with class. All Trump has is bluster. I think he'd be a disaster as president. Gotta admit that he has added a lot of entertainment value to this race though.

What's even worse, is Trump wants to follow Reagan's plan for a 500 ship Navy. Now, a 500 ship Navy might be a good thing, but you've got to remember to increase the enlistment quota so you don't have the problem we did back in the 80's where ships were going on 6 month deployments that were only 85 percent manned.
