Conservative Right Wingers will be the ones to surrender as history proves. For example the Revolutionists in the American Revolution were radicals, the conservatives sucked up to the King at the time and didn't want a Revolution. The Conservatives were so scared they tired to convince the radicals that whining before the king would be preferable than the gun.
During the Nazi occupation of France it was the Conservative right wingers that surrendered and collaborated with the Nazis. In fact the right wingers were so zealous in collaborating with the Nazis, the Nazis were astonished. The French resistance were those on the left. The Conservative Right Wingers ratted out the left and turned them over to the Nazis to be taken to the concentration camp.
All those 50,000 names on the Wall of Vietnam were mainly those on the left. This would make sense because a vast majority that fought that war were poor or black and politically the poor and black would be on the left. The Right Wingers chickened out, ie. Rush Limbaugh, AWOL boy Junior, Chicken Dick Cheney, the list of Chicken Hawks aka Conservative Right Wingers is long.
History proves that Conservative Right Wingers always chicken out and surrendered. This current administration has been nothing but cowardly. Junior let every Saudi escape questioning by our law enforcement agency right after 911, by allowing the Saudis to fly out of the country. This is because Junior was chicken, he was like the guy that got slapped and instead of hitting the slapper back, he slapped an innocent bystander ie Iraq, that's what a chicken does.
That is the biggest piece of left wing lies and conjectures put in one post that I've read in ages.
All 50,000 names were white boys and black boys........poor and rich..............College kids whose 2-S deferments were dropped because they flunked a class, and had to report. Doctors, attorneys, dentists, carpenters, airline pilots, janitors, garbagemen, engineers, were drafted..........nothing exempted you except keeping a good grade average in College as a full-time student, or running off to Canada, or a 4-f deferment because of health limitations.
You better reread those 50,000 names, cause many of my middle class and upper middle class highschool buddy's names are on that slab of rock in D.C. fella!!!!
Conservative means many things my friend, and you better open up your poli-sci books and see that those Nazi collaborators covered the whole gamut of religious and political affilliations in France, Belgium, Poland, and the other occupied countrys. Many were coerced into collaberating as their very familys were threatened with torture, and death in camps.
You probably selectively ignored the fact that many millions of bible Christians were sent off to extermination camps along with the hapless Jews.
Maybe you failed to hear of a famous Christian named Correy Tenbaum who went to the camps because she helped sneak and hide Jews from the Nazis. Correy was just the tip of the iceberg of Christians that risked life and limb to protect and hide Jews.
Were these European bible Christians conservative? Most likely...........so don't use this Conservatives were the collaborators...........crap.............without some stats to back it up.
Also remember that labor, and conservative parties in the Europe to not necessarily mean the same as Conservative and Liberal in the U.S.. They can have very divergent philosophical differences.
First of all, the Nazis were National Socialists........does socialist ring a bell? That's just one civilized stip above Communist...........except they allow a little free enterprise, but basically embrace totaly government control of all entities that make up the fabric of a nation.
The America conservative movement in many ways is diametrically opposed to increased government control. I know at times it's hard to distinguish are parties when our current administration goes on a drunken spending spree, but basically, individual rights are the mantra of the conservative, while the mantra of the liberal is, "spread out the wealth" and help the masses at the expense of the minority...........One such policy is "imminent domain".
Anyway..........don't hit us with these blanket statements of conservatives were Nazi collaborators etc..........
