When the Collapse Comes...

I answered your question about what I would do.

My daughter would go to the Dr, then she would have whatever prescription she needed filled at her pharmacy. That is how you treat an infection.

OK, just so you know...

The private physicians are on the very bottom of the distribution channel in our community.

I'm not sure what stockpiles Walgreens or CVS may have.

Isn't that how you view everyone with anything that happens to be a conservative and thinks other people should earn something?

Just wondering.

No.

I am curious though. What sort of infection were you talking about? Other than various mild infections involving earaches, sinuses and the like, only one of my three children has even gotten a serious infection.

Yeah...why do you think that is?

Did you and your armory scare off bacteria, viruses and germs. Or did the same public health institutions that you guys lampoon check to make sure there paint in your house doesn't have unsafe levels of lead, drinking water is pure, restaurants you eat at cook food properly....

All of that is out the window when you remove yourself from the regulatory bodies and go it alone with the fellow preppers who happily await the meltdown.

Nobody is "happily" awaiting the meltdown but you persist in saying it anyway.

So much bullshit bias, and that somehow makes you think you're superior.

Anyway... I dont know about Winter but I plan on getting with several dozen friends and raid local hospitals so we should have everything we need.

I don't doubt it. It's the prepper way..."I have mine so **** you.!"

And you wonder why you guys keep losing national elections.

Isn't that what you're saying though? It's not like you're personally preparing, you are relying on your employer to provide for you. Will you be giving those supplies to the masses that are starving or will you sit safe inside your secured building finding translators?

How much of your own food are you going to share with strangers?

I don't have a superiority complex.

I know the plans of PhDs, MPH's, people who have been working on disaster response since it became a specialty and the sheer amount of resources, research, and reasoning is superior to those who think going it alone or with some like minded simpletons.

Seriously, people earlier were decrying the need for medicine in favor of cutting off limbs.

You don't feel superior to them...not a little bit? You should.

As for the first part about happily...I take issue with that. Everybody wants their stances validated. I think doubling down with 8 is a sound strategy in blackjack. When I win, I feel validated. In a bizarre way, the same applies for these whack jobs.

HMPH....

Could've fooled me.

Factually incorrect.

I have my go bag plus extras that my training an experience tells me is important. More food, games to occupy the mind, etc...

I have the unique perspective of being part of the response apparatus for my employer.

However, if someone is going to look to their right and see trucks handing out bottled water and other commodities and look to their left and see woods and a bunch of guys on four wheelers and decides that they are going to see how great it is in the woods because there is a line...there isn't much that can (and in my opinion should) be done to stop them.

I'll be happy to share. How much? As supplies run out, yes you taper your sharing; as I've said time and again in this thread.
Go back to the OP...I won't act like that. Ever. Enevitably in our ready drills, people have shown up with bags that didn't have the necessities for the 72 hour period. I'm happy to share with them.

Look; it's Friday evening and some boob is posting one-liners over and over again.

You don't feel superior to this regrettable fuckstain?

What makes you think that people who are choosing to go it alone are "simpletons?" That's the superiority complex I'm talking about.

I'm aware that you have lots of training in this area and that you trust the system. I think your tune would change if you saw how fast the system breaks down if things don't go according to plan.

Plus, the plans you keep alluding to will not work in the type of collapse that is being theorized by preppers.

Seriously, people earlier were decrying the need for medicine in favor of cutting off limbs.

No they weren't. The person in question used a hypothetical last-resort means as an example of how one can survive without all of the comforts of modern medical facilities.

You don't feel superior to them...not a little bit? You should.

Why should I feel superior to anyone?

But thanks, you've just proven my point. You denied having a superiority complex and then detailed why you think you are superior.

As for the first part about happily...I take issue with that. Everybody wants their stances validated.

That is 100% bullshit, completely made up by you. I have about 200 gallons of gasoline stored on my property, three generators, a month's worth of food, and a robust water purification system.

Does that mean I'm hoping for a hurricane?

I think doubling down with 8 is a sound strategy in blackjack. When I win, I feel validated. In a bizarre way, the same applies for these whack jobs.

Most people don't think like you. You're not proving anything about anyone but yourself. If you double down with an 8 showing, you're just a very inexperienced card player. No wonder you think preppers are "whack jobs," you're just as ignorant about them as you are about cards.

I bet you've never started with $40 on a $5 table and walked away with $2000 a few hours later have you?

No.

I don't even feel superior to you. I do feel sorry for you though. You're damaged. I hope you eventually work that out. Otherwise if something really bad does happen and you're in a role to help or hurt others, you are going to break and people will die.
