If this is an accident, the pilots involved should be in big trouble.

If this is a planned thing, those authorizing it should be in big trouble.

I got a feeling this is neither.

:salute: Kid Rock

Totally planned.

Unless you want to believe that the pilot just happened to know where Kid Rock lived and happened to know that he'd be fine with the event and happened to know that there was an approach vector....

I did like the facade of an "investigation" into the matter......like when a police force investigates a guy getting shot 37 times in the back and finds no misconduct.

They were. Now they are not. Hegseth intervened.

Probably planned by the pilots out of Fort Campbell, that were doing some cross-country training, and keeping their hours up. Mission planned by the 101st? Not a chance. I've been flown around by a lot of chopper pilots in Tennessee. If there is something of interest along the route, they will definitely swing by and take a look, but not linger. This includes famous places, famous people (as was the case here) or even women sunbathing topless or otherwise undressed, if catching the eye of pilots or crew.

If it was planned, all those involved should be held accountable.

I wonder if the Iran war is just a way to deploy all the globalist controlled units 3000 miles away...

I have a feeling it's both.

They do this in my back yard all the time. Of course, my place is not as luxurious as Kid Rock's Nashville digs, but the only have to fly about a mile or so to get from their airfield to my house.

It really isn't a big deal. Nobody without an axe to grind would care.
If I had a concern, it would only be any assigned flight altitude safety concern due to possible wires, but it is not like these guys simply fall out of the sky. The ones I have ridden with were highly trained, highly skilled, knew their bird, very high attention to detail.

Hegseth has already laughed and said he will take no action

It'd be very cool to have it happen.

Long ago when were on vacation in Florida we saw two military jets fly along the beach. They were really low and showing off. People were thrilled

Did it involve people being at home when they buzzed the famous places?
Depends on your definition of "buzzed". They don't get down below minimums, as a rule in CONUS unless doing range work, or rescue. If rescue, you would be amazed how tight an area they can get into and back out of. Trust Candy, this was a nothingburger.

I have no doubt. But, for those unfamiliar, you probably should have pointed out, it is not like they are low level buzzing your house.

Uh, yes they are! They fly at slightly above the three huge trees on the back of my property.

I often wonder if I will have to open the French doors on my patio to let them in! :abgg2q.jpg:

Wow! That is a shocker! How close to flight line or combined arms training areas do you live?

I live about a mile southwest of the main base. The southern airfield is about a mile north. The ranges are mostly west and northwest. I hear 50cal and artillery on a regular basis out my back door to the west. The flight path for C-17s into the main airfield is directly over my house when landing to the north. Helos usually transition west to east.

My prospective son-in-law is the Assistant G-4 on the 101st Division staff for a few more weeks.
