When the Collapse Comes...

An 88% it won't happen (let alone with the same ferociousness (sp?)) is very high as welll. Right?

What are the odds you'll be in a car accident? Probably lower but I bet you still buckle up.

What are the odds you'll win the lottery? Bet you've still bought a ticket.

What are the odds you'll win in a casino? Bet you've still gone.

What were the odds all those people would get shot in a Colorado movie theater? They still went.

What are the odds you're not a schmuck? 0%

Gee grumps...nobody else to bother tonight?

Gee candycorn, not able to muster the intellectual honesty to recognize the accuracy of what he said?

Isn't the Boy Scout motto "Be Prepared"?
Does that make them the original preppers?
Doesn't preparing for a worse case scenario also make you prepared for lesser events?
Inquiring minds want to know.

The hospital is open and functioning? Then obviously this was not the situation I was talking about, now is it?

Wow...you're really going out of your way to avoid calling chainsaw boy a dumbass; aren't you? :eusa_clap:

If you have to be this intellectually dishonest, I really doubt you'd let your daughter die to avoid admitting you need outside help.

Excuse me?? You have been continually dancing and avoiding admitting even the possibility of a long term collapse, and you have the gall to critique my post?

You have repeatedly ridiculed anyone's statements that what they do will depend on the situation, and yet you know that the situation dictates what we all do.

No, I am not being intellectually dishonest. I have tried, repeatedly, to have an open discussion with you about the realistic situation of a major, long term collapse. You have refused to do so. Not only that, but you use responses from people concerning long term collapse and insert them into your 72 hour scenarios, as if they were interchangeable.

As I have said over, and over and over, my preparations are for the possible long term, major collapse of our society. I am not moving into the boonies for a snow storm or a tornado. In those events I will be working to restore things.

Now, if the hospital is open and functioning, it is not the situation I have been discussing, is it?

Your daughter getting an infection and fever in this root cellar you've dug (or whatever your doomsday shelter is) isn't a realistic scenario?

It's probably greater than a 12% chance...which is the new barometer for certainty supposedly.

So in the 1 out of 8 chance it does happen do you turn your daughter into an amputee as Jimbo is recommending or do you drive a few miles and pick up some antibiotics?

Candy'll be there.....after seventy two hours anyway.

The other guy's daughter will be there first after she gets through with chewing on roots or whatever the down-home remedies are (nobody has detailed them)..I'll have plenty of supplies.

Plenty of supplies huh.....you plan on getting in line a second time?

Actually, I won't be in line but to each their own.

The amputee of the survivalist whackjobs here would probably wish she had been closer to the city and the support structures however.

If my daughter has an infection she will, no doubt, go to her Dr. Her insurance will pay for it. The Dr will write her a prescription. And she will go to a pharmacy and fill the prescription. See how well things work in the modern world?

I'll make her husband watch, like the neutered disarmed slave he probably is.

Antibiotics are not hard to get. Like I said, my daughter would go to her dr. If I am not mistaken, she has Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance via her employer. And they are very good about letting their employees take off to see a Dr or healthcare provider when they need to do so.

The amputee of the survivalist whackjobs here would probably wish she had been closer to the city and the support structures however.

So what do you plan on doing when your seventy two hours is up?
Yeah...you'll be in line alright, along with all the other liberals. Pucker up....and you better put your heart into it. Because we wont put up with useless eaters.

The push package will be deployed and then VMI takes over. Seventy two hours is just the start.

Of course out in Possum Holler with the meth labs and people like yourself....you'll probably be giving smokers to people who you've always wanted to anyway. Good for him that you have no front teeth I suspect.

Exactly what is VMI? I am guessing it does not refer to the school.

The only thing being deployed will be your tongue if it's a Carrington event.
Say aaahh.....

Come on guys. Does it really have to sink this low?

I figure I deserve some troll time...she's been trolling this thread from the beginning after all.
The whole seventy two hour crap, hospitals that run without power, reinforcements and resupply without vehicles, ignoring the fact that a Carrington event has happened and will likely happen again.
She's either totally suppressing those thoughts out of terror. Or she's trolling.

I don't disagree. I simply think that sinking too low is usually a bad idea.

It's comic relief. Such morbid subjects may as well be broken up with such foolishness.
