It wasn't just the atomic bombing.

You should look at WWII propaganda. While we told ourselves that the Germans were divided between evil Nazis and "Good Germans" who were opposed to what Hitler was doing, the Japanese were portrayed as subhuman monsters. We used weapons on the Japanese we'd have never used on the Germans, including the A-bomb.

Um, also, we locked up 110, 000 Japanese Americans on suspicion of not being white enough. Oddly, we locked up very few Germans and Italians.

And how is that any different than Jews influencing our politics through groups like AIPAC, spending money to keep Congress tame?

I live in a district where AIPAC spent a crapload of money propping up a person we voted out of office a decade ago because she was kind of useless.
