Israel controlled six of seven land borders with Gaza, all of Gaza's airspace and coastal water along with the Gazan population registry. Nothing and no one got into or out of Gaza without IDF permission. That qualifies as an occupation under international law.

The Lancet has published a recent report making the claim that US economic sanctions have killed 38 million people since 1945.

When that alleged number gets added to the US military's kill count, the total rises to around 50 million human beings killed by the "good guys" with the majority dying on the opposite side of the planet from DC.
