What Rock Band/Album 70’s Through 80’s Would Still Be a Hit if Released Today?

we used to get stoned and go to Laserium at Pacific Science Center and watch & listen to Pink Floyd. AWESOME experience
I didn't have to get stoned. Back then, you just buy a ticket, sit down, and pretty soon someone passed you a joint.

Not a single one.

In today's 3 minute world, an album doesn't fit into the instant gratification society. They buy a single nowadays, not albums. Just imagine someone today, someone who didn't grow up in the era of great music and licorice pizza sitting down and actually listening to the music, the lyrics, the production... never going to happen.

No album, from the '70s, '80s, even the '90s, would be a "hit" today.

A user of lysergic acid #25.
It's raining so hard right now in Fl.
Does not feel natural, but kinda does because of solid rain.
The birdbath got filled in 1/2 hr.
Rain is serious. I thank God for it. It provides life.

LSD????? Oh nooooo, no, no, no. Not this girl. Smoke mostly.....so yes a stoner. Anything else, was percodan (the real stuff), valium and speed......just not at the same time. I steered clear of anything hallucinogenic

No rain here in atleast a couple of weeks.

Most of the rock groups in the 80s were into cocaine.

Well we're looking at like 9 inches in 2-3 hrs now.
Idk what the trees will do. This actually is unprecedented here, afaik.
The grill is still stacked up against the back just like I did it when I didn't even live here in 2005.
Nobody would take that. I'll have to junk it. :(
Thing got maybe 2 uses, but cheap made grills and FL salt air?
I wouldn't bet on that thing. All the parts probably done corroded by now.
Man, It's kinda hard to say "Hey man, this is unnaturally hard rain in FL."
Because it's FL.
But this shit here I saw today is maximum drenchage I've ever seen around here.
Today was that FL rain meme. With moar rain.

Put the songs in a movie soundtrack and they become an instant hit.

Guardians of The Galaxy proved that.

You have hurricanes.....we don't

Best I can find here is for Seattle in one day.......which was 5 inches on Oct. 20, 2003

It's not that we get alot of rain at one time, like the South......but we do get some kind of precipitation more often. ......like a leaky faucet

As for the trees??? Hard to tell since you have different types than here, but when our trees and soil are saturated from heavy rains for days on end......we get landslides and trees can be uprooted.

Now stop derailing the thread....

15th post
Every generation thinks the music of their teen and early adult years was the best ever and everything else before or since is crap

But i think a lot of Disco would still play well today. In fact i know it does if my daughter and her friends are any indication.

Bah, you see the sun once every couple weeks, maybe.
13 days of cloudy with 3 of misting rain and 1 day of sun in 2 weeks.
Oh, oh, you might get 2 days of sun in 2 weeks, sometimes.
I never forget the weather there, or the fish market.
Or this motorcycle game at the back of the fish market.
Never seen anything like that before or since.
It was..a mechanical video game? Way different than the claw..
