Debbie Harry!Do you know Blondie's real name without looking it up?
You do realize it’s an African American work song written by a black man, right? Of course you don’t.I would include Ram Jam for Black Betty, but that would be racist nowadays

Spiderbait did an awesome cover in 2004. I don’t recall anyone having an issue with it.Yes I did.........but then it would still be considered a racist song today.......now wouldn't it??

Nope and most people regardless of their skin color, aren't as racist as many would have you believe.
And here's the version you were referring to previously.....
But ya gotta admit, Ram Jam made it a hit.

Well, you must be a true fan then.Debbie Harry!
Yeah, she was great. The late 70s and early 80s were a great time to be a young adult!Well, you must be a true fan then.
I think the ‘popular’ music is just so vapid and uninspiring that anyone with any musical appreciation can’t get too interested.
There’s no singing anymore. Everything’s rap or auto tune. And this monotone rap shit, it’s just atrocious. Third grader tweet level lyrics. Just a symptom of the dumbing down/third worlding of America.
I'm thinking maybe REO Speedwagon would still chart.
Correct so many great bands, i would also say it was the same for films. The 70's were the greatest decade in music history and that is unlikely to ever change. The 2nd half of the 60's were great, but for a full decade, you'll not match the 70's.
