What Rock Band/Album 70’s Through 80’s Would Still Be a Hit if Released Today?

Why don't you blow me, prick.

Shitforbrains.

The thread is about how their music would go over today, ************.
Its not about how they can perform as senior citizens but how their music made in their prime would fare in todays music industry.

60's and 70's rock is still resonating with todays music enthusiasts.

Love that movie....Lily James pushes all my buttons for some odd reason. ;)

I get that!

I think the ‘popular’ music is just so vapid and uninspiring that anyone with any musical appreciation can’t get too interested.

There’s no singing anymore. Everything’s rap or auto tune. And this monotone rap shit, it’s just atrocious. Third grader tweet level lyrics. Just a symptom of the dumbing down/third worlding of America.

I'm thinking maybe REO Speedwagon would still chart.

All of them.
Even Boney M.
Today's music sucks, it's dumbed down and terrible.

I think many of the progressive rock bands would be popular today. Specifically Kansas and Yes.

Seemed to me that the OP wanted to discuss how their music would fly today.
That implies that somebody else might have to cover it.
What is beyond dispute is the fact that these artists were head and shoulders above the current crop of musicians.

There are many great musicians. They aren't played on iHeart radio but there is a ton.

Had to make this thread about politics, pknopp?

Must really be sad for you. :rolleyes-41:

Lol......I commented on a statement. It is on topic. Pink Floyd would be boycotted today over politics so no, the album would not be as popular today as it was in 1973.

Pink Floyd's band members can't get along with each other, much less with conservatives or moderates.
But I don't think their music would be banned by anyone.
Usually the left is the ones doing the banning.
