What Percentage of USMB Posters are Mentally and Emotionally Well?

I was thinking about this recently: as the title asks, what percentage of posters here are mentally, emotionally, and spiritually well? To extrapolate: balanced, competent, productive, engaged, and at least reasonably happy?

For me, I thought about 30% of posters overall fit the last description.

Of course--and data bears this out--the number of liberals here skew those results. Meaning, more conservative posters seem reasonably mentally well to me and much fewer liberal posters. To the point that if you can engage with a liberal poster of sound mind it's a rare treat.

Try not to name names because I would love to keep this in General Discussion. Thoughts?
9%. Most either like augmenting or think they can change the world.

Hey I'm 100% on both counts, but then again, I don't post here often so.....

First, that is from 2013. Second, that is a bogus political study with well founded criticism:

The report's methodology
  • Fails to account for U.S. citizen dependents: The report is criticized for counting the fiscal costs associated with U.S. citizen children of undocumented immigrants, which artificially inflates the cost to the taxpayer.
  • Uses static instead of dynamic scoring: The report uses a static scoring model, which fails to account for how immigration can boost economic growth, increase wages, and lead to greater tax revenues.
  • Ignores positive economic impacts: The report does not adequately consider how immigrants contribute to the economy, such as through increased GDP and spending power.
  • Overstates future costs: The report is also criticized for underestimating future tax payments and overestimating future benefit costs.

Missing Analysis
  • Positive fiscal impact of amnesty: Studies suggest that granting amnesty to undocumented immigrants could generate significant increases in tax revenue.
  • Contribution of undocumented immigrants: Even without amnesty, undocumented immigrants contribute billions of dollars in taxes annually.
  • Impact of mass deportation: Critics of mass deportation point out that it would lead to significant economic losses due to the loss of labor, income, and tax revenue.
  • Long-term fiscal impact: Some studies show that while there may be costs at the state and local levels, the federal government's long-term fiscal impact from immigrants is often positive, with immigrants paying more in taxes than they receive in benefits, especially after a few generations.

Oh look, bait.

What Percentage of USMB Posters are Mentally and Emotionally Well?
The proportion of MAGAts on this site is about 75%, being a conservative estimation.

So, maybe 20% of site posters are mentally healthy and competent.

excuse me....? ~S~

Illegal immigrants are a net loss for the country A gain fir democrats who need them counted in the 2030 census
  • Undocumented immigrants paid $96.7 billion in federal, state, and local taxes in 2022. Most of that amount, $59.4 billion, was paid to the federal government while the remaining $37.3 billion was paid to state and local governments.
  • Undocumented immigrants paid federal, state, and local taxes of $8,889 per person in 2022. In other words, for every 1 million undocumented immigrants who reside in the country, public services receive $8.9 billion in additional tax revenue.
  • More than a third of the tax dollars paid by undocumented immigrants go toward payroll taxes dedicated to funding programs that these workers are barred from accessing. Undocumented immigrants paid $25.7 billion in Social Security taxes, $6.4 billion in Medicare taxes, and $1.8 billion in unemployment insurance taxes in 2022.
  • At the state and local levels, slightly less than half (46 percent, or $15.1 billion) of the tax payments made by undocumented immigrants are through sales and excise taxes levied on their purchases. Most other payments are made through property taxes, such as those levied on homeowners and renters (31 percent, or $10.4 billion), or through personal and business income taxes (21 percent, or $7.0 billion).
  • Six states raised more than $1 billion each in tax revenue from undocumented immigrants living within their borders. Those states are California ($8.5 billion), Texas ($4.9 billion), New York ($3.1 billion), Florida ($1.8 billion), Illinois ($1.5 billion), and New Jersey ($1.3 billion)
  • In a large majority of states (40), undocumented immigrants pay higher state and local tax rates than the top 1 percent of households living within their borders.

In other words, what you said is a lie.

Some may describe me as a pillar of wellness while others will claim that I'm a complete lunatic. It all boils down to perspective.

This site is little more than a time-killer for me. I take most of what is said here with a half a grain of salt. I believe there are a number of paid shills whose job it is to push a particular agenda and to force a particular narrative. They're the ones who pop blood vessels in their forehead as they call others by the most vile names if/when they disagree with the popular, politically correct, mainstream narrative. I guess I'm nuts for the joy I get from watching these loons blow their gaskets while puckering their buns. Quite entertaining!!

Outside of that, I feel pretty blessed that I have a roof over my head, food on the table, and a working brain.

The lefties are miserable, study after study pola After pole year after year.... they're miserable angweee people...

Hilarious. Most non-right wing nuts which includes progressives, and moderates that think the GOP is now overtaken by extremists, post facts, links, and quotes from the source. Posters like you and the rest of the right wing justice warriors just post your feelings. This thread is a perfect example. Enjoy your circle jerk of feelings.
There is some truth to your statement. I was active about a year ago then took a long break. Several of the posters (they shall remain nameless) seemed (back then) as conservative as I am. I mean, they were opposed to war. They wanted the government to exercise fiscal responsibility. They wanted the government to stop sending $Billions in foreign aid to the beggars of the world. They wanted to see the release of the Epstein files and for the pedos on the list tried and convicted of their crimes. They wanted to see "the swamp drained." They believed in transparency and integrity in Washington D.C. They just seemed like normal, common sense conservatives.

Unfortunately, many of them became mesmerized by a Pied Piper who made a bunch of great sounding, conservative promises then broke almost all of those promises. But their pride wouldn't allow them to see that they had been duped so they joined the NEO-CONservative movement controlled by AIPAC. They've all become warmongers who support big spending and sending America's tax dollars to the moochers of the globe. What a huge shift from where they were then to where they are now. I'm not sure I consider throwing ones integrity and conservative ethics down the drain to be a very "stable" thing to do. But that's just coming from a man who doesn't join clubs; follow the popular kids like a puppy dog; or sway with the winds of change. That's why I call myself a "conservative." I'm the same dude today as I was a year ago.

I don't think this forum is representative of the entire population, as half of the country doesn't even vote or care about politics. But, there is one thing that democraps aren't that republicans are: happy. It is so hard to find a happy democrap today. They are always bitching about something and no one really listens to them unless it grows into a political debate and then all democraps immediately band together to spew the talking points. But, put a group of only democraps in a room without any republicans and watch the room explode as they fight each other over who is a better democrap, who hates Trump the most, etc., etc.

Now you know why most people don't bother with politics. DC is a big club and we aren't in it. For the record, Trump "The Pied Piper" is really no different than Obama or Biden were. Although he is the only POTUS to secure the border. I give him kudos for that. The stuff going on with Venezuela? I want my kudos back.

.

I know two democrats personally.

One is very unhappy. Has a list as long as my arm of mental diagnoses and so far, spends about a month every year in drug and alcohol rehab.

Insane. Wealthy people are happy in both parties. The middle income and poor right wing nuts pretend they are happy living vicariously through Trump's wealth. You are in a cult.

Democrats are frustrated that Trump has soiled the name and reputation of America. We are suddenly a murderous regime of dicks that like to see the poor and hungry suffer, citizen and non-citizen, domestic and abroad.

The good news is they are all going to be deported. They lower wages increase rents cause a housing shortage. They send 80 billion out if of the country. The cost and pain inflicted by the crimes they create are off the chart. They distort the census and help democrats by replacing population that left their states. Bye Bye

You get the picture!!! I will give credit where credit is due. Securing the border is a win!! Importing 600,000 Communist Chinese is a huge loss. As the old saying goes: "Two steps forward and one step back - two steps forward and one step back." We're two steps closer to Globalism.
