What makes someone a “Conservative”?

You’re straight confusing me
No worries. I'm certain the majority of adults on the forum understand. :)

As previously posted, the OP question was what makes someone a conservative. My view is the same as Barry "Mr. Conservative" Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. At the time we were called Goldwater Republicans.

Nowadays, the political philosophy is more aligned with Libertarian ideals than the current Republican party.

PREAMBLE

As Libertarians, we seek a world of liberty: a world in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives and are not forced to sacrifice their values for the benefit of others. We believe that respect for individual rights is the essential precondition for a free and prosperous world, that force and fraud must be banished from human relationships, and that only through freedom can peace and prosperity be realized.

Consequently, we defend each person’s right to engage in any activity that is peaceful and honest, and welcome the diversity that freedom brings. The world we seek to build is one where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power. In the following pages we set forth our basic principles and enumerate various policy stands derived from those principles.

These specific policies are not our goal, however. Our goal is nothing more nor less than a world set free in our lifetime, and it is to this end that we take these stands.

It wasn’t a question

It was a statement

In my opinion since this is an opinion forum and facts rarely matter:

1) Limited Govt. States and local rule over Federal rule when possible, which should lead to fiscal responsibility.

2) Personal responsibility over Govt is here to help

3) Support of Free Markets. Reasonable taxes. Reasonable regulation

4) Traditional values aka no furries, trans crap,
DEI

5) Strong and advanced military

6) Support strong border security and contolled
Legal immigration

7) Support strong law enforcement none of this cashless bail and such. Back the Blue

8) Support 2A

9) End birthright citizenship for illegals

10) Death penalty for convicted violent criminals

11) Pride in being an American

12) Reduce perpetual social programs and create a system of reward for work not for gaming the system

13) There are only two genders

Doesn’t sound so bad

🤷‍♂

Thoughts?
In other words, common sense.

Did you vote for the blob knowing full well he paid for sex from a porn star? Yes.
Did you vote for the blob knowing full well he ran a fake charity? Yes.
Did you vote for the blob knowing full well he cheated on every wife he's ever had? Yes.

Do you call yourself a conservative? Yes.

Thusly conservatives embrace paying for sex, running fake charity, cheating on your wife.

Is this, in any way, unclear?
If only Joe was a unifier. Progressive cannot do that though.

I sleep fine. Does it help you sleep at night to be snarky and feel superior to others?

Conservatives believe we conserve the policies that have been successful.
Progressives and democrats think we should change policies for the sake of change with no regard for facts or reality because it makes them feel good about themselves. Then they fail and the hate starts.
What conservatives believe is different from what you right wing extremists believe. You don't believe in policies that have been successful because the policies the right wants have never been successful.

Conservatives just know the proper place of government. The free market is more efficient at helping those in need.

Actually, after working 30 years in non-profits, the free market is not the most effective way. The one thing you do not factor in your attempt to claim conservative moral superiority is the tax write-off people get from contributing to 501c.3 organizations, which is the only reason most conservatives give. Because they can write it off and get some of it back.
