That's funny, I'm a liberal democrat and I can't think of one liberal democrat that supports riots or violence of any kind (aggravation, perhaps with some, but not violence), but, come to think of it, we have Trump on tape adoring violence, on numerous occasions:

Trump's continuous incendiary acts, comments, mentions, speeches, covering over a period of many months, of which the predominant message was 'democrats stole the election' and that lie began before the first ballot was cast, inculcated in the minds and hearts of his follows long and hard, to such an extent, that it caused a welling up of what can rightfully be characterized as a juggernaut of rage, erupting in volcanic fashion on 1/6, resulting in several deaths and millions of worth of property damaged, some property stolen, and trespassing of the offices of congresspersons and senators and the terrorizing of persons thereby, and the delay of several hours of the constitutional proceedings.
President Trump is practically, and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day [Jan 6], no question about it. The people that stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their President. And what were those false statements, conspiracy theories and reckless hyperbole? They were the falsehoods that Trump repeated over and over and over again at every rally, using the 'largest megaphone on planet earth' that DEMOCRATS STOLE THE ELECTION, and he stated it many months prior to the first ballot being cast which culminated in a juggernaut of rage the direct and foreseeable result of which was the attack on the capitol building.

Moreover, 'inciting a riot' is not the primary issue -- It's not just the attack on the capitol, it's the overall scheme as laid out in the Eastman Memo/Navarro 'greenbay sweep' . It started when Trump declared that 'Democrats stole the election" long before the first ballot was cast, which caused a juggernaut of rage which led to the attack. It's about the fake electors, it's about the massive plan ot object to certification in the key states and to get Pence to (unconstitutionally) REMAND the objected to votes back to the states in the join session in order to delay overall certification long enough to throw the vote for prez to the house, where republicans had a two state majority in the state's delegations (aka "a contested election"). It's about Trump, and his co-conspirators, Bannon, Flynn, Giuliani, Eastman, Clark, at al, who executed this plan, it's about a conspiracy to prevent the peaceful transfer of power and delay the Joint Session of Congress in such a way as to force a house vote for president, noting that Republicans have a two state advantage. It's about the veritable coup Trump and his cohorts engaged in a conspiracy to overturn the election.
THAT is what Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation is about (in addition to the obstruction related to stolen documents for which Ty Cobb, Trump's former lawyer stated 'Trump is going to jail').
THAT is what Trump has ACTUALLY DONE that you are missing. my dear MaryL.
