You know that's bullshit. 99% of black people killed are killed by other black people, not by the police. Police brutality as you are using it is just a meaningless slogan. Police brutality can only be determined on a case by case basis and the courts already do that in every case where there is a complaint. DoJ also looks into cases where civil rights may have been violated. According to the CDC, homicide is the leading cause of death of black males between the ages of 16 and 45 and in nearly all cases both the shooter and the victim are black.

I don’t know if it is a farce or not. It is a concept I am struggling to understand, with getting defensive, which I do, before deciding what I think.

But I do know that, as a group, black people face more challenges to prosperity than white people as a group. As individuals, we are all over the board.

One example is in the OP itself. A list of black stereotypes. The welfare queen. Yet I live in a majority white state that is very poor. I don’t see those stereotypes (even though they are equally applicable) applied to poor whites as a race.

In fact, you don't know that "black people face more challenges to prosperity than white people." This is the biggest obstacle to prosperity black people face:

Generally speaking, the police are not brutal. Yes, there have been a few, very few, specific examples where police were intentionally rough.

However, there simply isn't a wide spread aspect of police brutality in America, and especially when it involves blacks.

They have researched this a number of times, and every single time, they find that police are LESS LIKELY to use force against a Black specifically because they do not want to be called racists.

Over and over, what they have found in the research is that there is a direct correlation between the number of police caused deaths, and the number of police interactions with violent criminals.

Shockingly, as the number of police interactions with violent criminals goes down, so do the number of police caused deaths.

Police engage in force, as their job requires them to interact with people that require force.

When you have to physically restrain someone, the chances of death increase.

THEREFORE...... since we can clearly see that the number of deaths is connected to violent interactions.... the solution is to have fewer... or no... violent interactions with police.

It really is that simple. And this isn't a black or white thing, it's a universal thing. Whites that engage with officers violently, are far more likely to be killed, than whites that do not.

Stop breaking the law. Stop fighting with police.

You do those two things, and you won't be killed by police. Or beaten, or anything else.

You show me the examples where police are just randomly walking around the neighborhood, beating the crap out of anyone, black or white? Where does that happen? Show me the family picnic, where the police just jump out from a bush, and beat the crap out of a father with his wife and kids? Where is that?

There is no random police brutality. Police respond with force, when they are instigated to do so.

It's funny, because even in sports, you have penalties for instigation. You provoke people in baseball, they kick you out. Yet people intentionally fight and provoke police, and then act idiotically, like the police shouldn't react to this.
