What is driving this trade war?

/----/ "Republicans told specifically uneducated blue collar workers this is for them."
What did democRATs tell uneducated blue collar workers who are registered democRATs?
That they may need to organize into unions to get a raise. With our support.

Ultimately nothing trump is doing will fix them. Illegals gone, wages haven’t gone up.

And when you bring these factories home they’ll be automated.

This is theater. Distraction. Focus on helping uneducated blue collar workers.

100,000 out of 20,000,000 so far. Not enough to make a dent yet. It will take time to clean up Auto Pen Joe's screw ups. Patience.

How Many Migrants Has Trump Deported? White House Announces ... - Newsweek

Apr 1, 2025 The Trump administration told Newsweek Tuesday that over 100,000 illegal immigrants had been deported from the United States since January 20. ... In The Magazine April 18 2025 Issue.

So the elites who raked in billions are blaming China? This reminds me of when the bankers trashed our economy and then told us only they could fix the mess they made.

I think the employees of these elites need to organize into unions and demand a raise.

Why would the elites "blame" China for making them a ton of money??
They are scared out of their wits that a more fair trade deal will take some of their profits away. And it most certainly will.

Enough have gone that Florida can’t find workers. Instead of raising wages, they loosened child labor laws to attract 14 year old workers. Kids can now work at night on school days.

It’s not working

Well right now they are blaming China cause otherwise they’d have to blame themselves. This is a distraction.

China agrees. They’re like what the fuck did we do?

It would be like my customer yelling at me because I saved them too much money.

/---/ I disagree with relaxing child labor laws. Instead, employers will have to offer higher wages and benefits to attract workers.
And what's stopping the immigrants from getting green cards to work in Florida?

Republicans told specifically uneducated blue collar workers this is for them. And who’s been screwing them for decades? China? Not the American CEOs who sent their jobs to China. Also Canada, Mexico, penguin island. It’s everyone else’s fault not the American corporations who benefited from it.

Think about our relationship with China. We buy from them because they make shit cheap. Why would they buy from us? Other than we make something they can’t. So no shit we buy more from them than they buy from us.
His whole life has been based on his perceived victimhood, and right wing media has been pushing it since the day Limbaugh went national.

China has been using SLAVE labor for decades. Ever since before Clinton was President.

Nobody can compete with slave labor.

There is something called a Win/Win situation where both sides get something they want

Trump resents that the other guy gets something
The algebra here isn't all that difficult.

Are the marginal economic benefits we may get out of a trade war going to equal the critical relationships we have now destroyed all around the world? Will they be worth watching our former friends and trading partners leave us out of future trade agreements? Will they be worth watching China, Vietnam and India be the three primary manufacturing hubs for the world, as we price ourselves completely out of the picture?

Most likely not. But these are the types of questions that the flock don't consider for even a moment, because they are ignorant.

When ceos sent jobs overseas it wasn't because of labor costs. That was an outright lie. Never have labor costs here been too high.

It is an expected result of America First

America Alone

/---/ So, you think Chinese labor wages and benefits are equal to those in the US? You need to reach out to the NCESC - Employment Security Commission and educate them.

What is the average salary in China compared to the US?

Jun 19, 2024 In 2021, the average Chinese worker earned 105,000 yuan a year, the equivalent of $16,153. The average American worker earned some $58,120 a year, 3.5 times his or her Chinese counterpart. Are salaries high in China? The average disposable income per capita in China has more

Mac was defeated by Trump. Possessed by the Orange man.
He cannot comprehend what you are saying because he doesn't allow himself to see anything that doesn't say Orange man bad. Everything must equal that. If it doesn't - it can't be.
Giving China most favored trade status, NAFTA and refusing to add tariffs or VAT on foreign made products using slave labor was done for what?? Why did they do it??
So the elites could rake in $trillions. As a country we invested in our own demise. Prior to 1980 China was an economic desert. Over 95% of the population lived in dirt. Today it is an economic powerhouse that has continued to invest $trillions into an enormous military. All financed by us.
We gave them the money to do it.
And where did we get the money? We took it away from the middle class in the form of wages, converted that to profits for the elites.
And Mac1958 with his CNN and MSNBC - are now pounding sand to keep doing it.

Yep.
