. Stop giving the press unscripted interviews.
Stop getting "ambushed".
Meet the Press with statements, not question times.
Do what the management does in many places, have an annual or monthly meeting of residents, said residents allowed to ask questions "from the floor", but only questions
they have submitted to the management prior.
No surprises, no "ambushes".

. Stop giving doorstop interviews with the media (that seem to be mostly left/far left wing.)
Former Australian Conservative Prime Minister Tony Abbott did just that, having been "ambushed" by the media once too often.

President Trump should do what PM Abbott did...smile, then say "no comment".
Pres Trump adding "I'm happy to answer your questions ... just send me an email."

Take a month long vacation.
