What is driving this trade war?

In every way. Let's count a few.

1. Constantly expressing their contempt for us.

2. Attacking the very idea of policy to serve our interests.

3. Supporting racist policies that discriminate against the majority of us.

I've heard a few make comments like that, nothing like what we get from the left.

AT this time, even on this very site, EVERYTIME, I try to argue for policies to serve the working class here, lefties show up and attack teh very idea of doing that, AND will attack the working class PERSONALLY,

AND at some point, attack ME personally, assuming my personal failures, which is quite amusing and stupid of them.

That is an UNIVERSIAL template for the left today.

The few examples from teh right, on people getting too full of themselves, is nothing compared to that.

AND, it is really important to consider that on the RIGHT, we had a serious debate on these issues and the assholes representing that mindset, LOST BIGGLY.

You may be confused by the reason people argue against your policies. It's not that they don't want to help the working class, it's that the policies won't help the working class.

You were told that lowering the corporate tax rate would benefit workers, but almost all of that benefit went straight to shareholders and executives.

Meanwhile the deficit balloons, and now Republicans say we have to cut services like Medicaid to close that deficit, which directly hurts the poor and working class.

Somtimes there is some discussion of stuff like that, but even when they offer than as an excuse the hostilty for the people in question still comes though and if you press them on the details, they move on arguements either based on the idea that the very idea of doing something for the working class is wrong, or that the working class is somehow at fault for their "Failures" to adapt. Or both.

Funny you should mention that, the polices that are offered as alternative solutions are ones that have failed for generations, primarily "training" AND, are more about helping INDIVIDUALS fight to get out of the working class, instead of HELPING the demographich as a whole, ie circling back to the idea that a policy aimed at serving the interests of the working class, is wrong or illegitimate for some reason.

We decided to have an every growing deficit when we didn't do anthing about unfunded mandates back in the 70s.
