What happens when your leader is a prolific liar

I stopped believing much outta governance as a lad during the Nixon administration

All pols lie, that's what they do. Remember these Obama whoppers?
I didn't bother with the 2010 article by National Review, and couldn't access the middle one, but the CDN was not dated and speaks of Obama as 'the President' and a lot of theories about the repetition of lies becoming fact in the minds of the wobbly (irony there), and even mentions Keystone, the unemployment rate and a few other insignificant fibs. I guess you are using this hit piece to excuse spitting in allies' eye, sucking up to those who would see us destroyed (Turkey/Russia/Saudi/China/North Korea), extortion of a fledgling independent nation for dirt on a domestic opponent, giving tax breaks to the rich at the expense of the middle class, and the need for more than one job to make ends meet. And lets not forget getting personally rich off the job of CIC.

A right wing site.

Lying about lies? Really?

The Romer report, written in December said that the stimulus bill would reduce unemployment by 1/2% to 1 1/2% which at the tome meant 8%. By the time the bill was passed, unemployment was climbing.

The promise was a percentage & to claim it was 8% is a lie. The CBO confirmed the stimulus bill did this.

Bush lied & killed 4600 soldiers in Iraq.

Trump lies about everything.

What damage can a few harmless fibs do? It’s just his nature.
If a President wants support for bringing his country to war, he must have credibility.
When he describes an imminent threat, people must believe that threat to send their sons and daughters to war

How's that $2,500 ObamaCare saving?

ask bighealthcorp why they didn't follow thru on that.

They got their talking points from Schiff, Schumer, Nadler yesterday. NYT’s, unnamed sources. Without clicking the link, cnn? I’d bet unnamed sources as well. We’ve seen this song and dance too often. Where’s the one from the wp? They must be running behind.
By the way cnn deleted their post Trump was eating ice cream when the drone strike hit.

President Trump isn't bringing America to war at all.

He just had one really notorious evildoer whacked.

I don't think that the Iranian Mullahs are that interested in waging war against America over the death of one Piece of Shit Terrorist- do you?

President Trump is merely sending a message to Ayatollah Khamenei et al, that we aren't going to put up with his shit and there is a new sheriff in town. You forget that Iran whacked an American contractor, a FREAKING CIVILIAN, last week. Someone with far more worth to America than Soleimani

Your link:

"This source said the argument for targeting Soleimani, rather than Iranian assets, centers around the idea that it was a preemptive move intended to de-escalate the situation by deterring any plans to attack American embassies or bases.

"The reasoning behind this, the same source told CNN, is that if Iran were to fire on a US base or embassy, it would trigger a large scale military response by the US, so by killing Soleimani, the hope was that it would cause the Iranians to change their behavior."

Seems like something of a long shot at any time.

What impact on next November's election will oil prices have on US voters?

US-Iran tensions threaten the world’s most important oil-shipping route

The other guys lie, so it's okay if ours do.

That's the best we've got at this point. The decay continues.

Unfortunately, with the media taking sides and delivering utter propaganda for one side or the other, then yes that is what happens....It's going to be hard to get back to working together with trust again.

Our Congress does not trust what Trump tells them
Our allies do not believe the Trump administration
The American people will not believe our President when he says we have to go to war
You're an idiot if you trust any politician

When you make a decision to take your country to war, you need to trust what the President is telling you

We trusted George Bush and became embroiled in Afghanistan and Iraq

Trump will not receive the same level of trust. In fact, none at all

It may just work out that his prolific lying will save us from another disastrous war

/----/ CNN? BWHAHAHAHAHAHA

CNN is more trusted than our President

I'm sure that people in the Pentagon and D.C. have learned by now that you can't just make shit up as an excuse for your actions. At some point the facts are going to come out and you're going to be held accountable.

Okay, I'm just kidding. I don't think we've learned that at all.

Just wanted to toss that one out there for fun.

We don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud
I thought Obama stopped Iran's nuclear program. Or was that another Obama lie?
