Ruth Underwood was an early Mothers fan back when they played the Garrick Theater in NY. She said some night there were more people on stage than in the audience so Frank got to talk to and know his fans. She was amazed that such beautiful music could come from such bizarre looking people

Frank, it still gives my arms goosebumps. You should hear it on an eleven speaker, 3,000 watt sound system that goes FLAT down to 15 cycles! It puts Ozzy about 10 feet in front of me.
