First of all, it is a lie to claim anyone called for the "destruction" of Israel or the US.
The actual meanings of the words used translate more to "resist".

Iranian leaders have routinely used the phrase "Marg bar Âmrikâ". The literal translation is Death to America. Marg in Persian means death in English.

Also, Khamenei has stated ""Israel won't exist in 25 years,", Recently deceased commander of the IRGC, in reference to Israel, stated "This sinister regime must be wiped off the map and this is no longer... a dream (but) it is an achievable goal".

Words have meaning. If they mean to resist they should say resist, or face the consequences.

Second is that the US illegally invaded or took over Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt, Syria, the Ukraine, Palestine, etc., so all countries now have a legitimate need for a nuclear deterrent.

For starters, when did the US invade or take over Ukraine or Egypt? For that matter, we didn't take over any of them.

The US took action against some of these countries when they threatened us directly or took action against us via their terrorist proxies.

Third is it is impossible for Iran to use nukes on Israel since Jerusalem is predominantly Palestinian Arab.

Forth is Iran has no long-range offensive delivery means and could only use nukes in defense.

They have several ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear warheads. Shahab-3 would be their likely choice. They also have Emad, Sejjil and Fattah-1.

Any kind of massive infrastructure project like that would be seen from satellites or be discovered by intelligence, even if you were building it underground. Furthermore, the amounts of electricity used to enrich uranium are absolutely massive, as is the heat generated from it. Both are closely monitored by the IAEA for any changes and detected anywhere in Iran. All secret nuclear facilities were discovered way before the 2015 nuclear deal even took place. But more importantly, you have not provided a single motive for why Iran would want to develop a bomb right after signing the deal from 2015 to 2018. Having nuclear weapons is meaningless. All it would do is bring ruin back to their country. Before the JCPOA, Iran's economy was devastated from sanctions. The JCPOA was their way out.
