Do electric cars require recharging? is the recharge free? our roads are paid for with gas taxes, how will you collect that from EV drivers? Cal has already told people not to recharge because the grid may blow up, where will the power to recharge millions of EVs come from? We could blanket the entire country with solar panels and windmills and it would not produce enough energy to do it. you libs live in fantasyland.

Conservatives, Maga, the right and Republicans, are not the same you can have elements of all four or just one or two.

The idea of the golf carts is interesting, just a few questions, when the temperature drops down to single digits, are you wanting to be in a golf cart? When there is a fresh snow and you have to travel to your local store, how does that work? When there is compact snow and ice on the roads, how will the golf cart preform in the snow and ice without sliding all over?

I have owned an electric car and there are some limitations that still need to be worked out. My hobby is rock collecting, I go to very remote places often needing four wheel drive, mass transit does not exist. The 18 wheelers are going electric, they are still a ways off but that is coming, just as driverless cars are coming. Then you have the grid problem of people needing to charge their cars and golf carts.

I like the idea but politicizing it is dishonest because most people want a cheaper more efficient energy, cars are not there yet. Retrofitting highways for only mass transit and 18 wheelers then limits when and where people can travel. Much of America is spread out and can be an hours between major cities. Your politicizing it creates more problems that it solves as I have seen in this thread.

We need more solutions and assurances to ease us in, not government forcing us with out answers.
