Contrary to known reality.
Under the Doha agreement, the US would begin to withdraw its forces contingent upon Taliban meeting certain conditions, which would lead to a political agreement between the Taliban and the government of Afghanistan. There were seven conditions applicable to the Taliban and eight conditions applicable to the United States. While the Taliban did not attack US forces, which was one of the conditions, it failed to fully honor, any, any other condition under the Doha agreement.

World War III has actually been underway for about forty-five years now, and Iran is where it started. It began when the Carter Administration betrayed and abandoned the Shah of Iran, allowing him to be overthrown, and Iran overrun by the Khomeniacs. That marks the point where the malignant, violent form of Islamism had the resources of a whole country, which they used to spread their degenerate ideology from there like a disease, to other countries in the area. Nearly all of the trouble that the world has had with violent, Islamist-based terrorism, all goes back to those roots.

No he didn't. If he had, the hostages would have been released before the election and Carter would have won a second term. Oh, he tried to negotiate, but the Mullahs just strung him along, that's why he finally got frustrated and green-lighted Operation Eagle Claw which typically for his administration turned into an expensive fiasco.
