You simply chose to believe into a self-written Hebrew book - that gives a fantasy account about the "creation" of Earth, based onto a "scientific" knowledge (aka no knowledge whatsoever) dating back some 6000 years. And as such making it a naive kiddo-picture book in the year 2024.

If you don't believe the Bible is God's word and you don't believe Jesus was his son and our savior, you are not a Christian.

The initial - original Christian believe is solely expressed via the original NT (also written entirely by Hebrews).
As such a "Christian" believes/adheres to the supposed teachings of Jesus - and there is no proof that Jesus ever claimed to be the son of God. But that he simply is a prophet - (aka a person who claims to speak on behalf of God, or rather, is claimed by his authors to be in communication with God) and that is fully accepted by those who wrote the NT - (Hebrews) and their later religious offspring, aka their Muslim brethren.

It was solely the Roman Catholic church that manipulated the supposed words/teachings of Jesus (which were NOT solely religious, but rather a sociopolitical opposition towards Judaism as it was practiced around his time ) and his initial followers from around 350 A.D. onward - came up with the "construction" of Jesus having been God's son - holy spirit etc - and therefore intentionally linking the NT to the OT - in order to gain the recognition of God being a Catholic and not a Jew.

However the Orthodox church precedes the Roman Catholic Church by around 300 years - so as to unite their respective believers, the term "Christian" was brought up.

Therefore according to the Catholic ROMAN Church, the "chosen people" are Catholics, and not Hebrews/Jews. Hence the Catholic Roman Church initiated the persecution of the Jews, and all those who dared to oppose their NT&OT.

You can twist it as much as you want to - but the FACT remains - that YOUR Christian believe, is nothing else but the result of the Catholic Roman Church having totally manipulated the NT for over a thousand years. All these religious splinter groups (sects) from 1500 AD onward, Protestants, Baptist, Calvinists, Puritans, Mormons, etc. etc. are ALL, simply, self declared Christians, who separated themselves from the Catholic Roman Church, however ALL of them additionally link their belief onto that Hebrew story book, the Bible. There were no Roman Christians at the time (and certainly not within the Roman administration of Judea) - when Jesus was supposedly crucified. (there are also no Roman records of a Mr. Jesus having been crucified, nor any archaeological evidence)

There were only discontent Hebrews around at the time, that supposedly found a liking towards another Hebrews teachings. Even if some Roman, happened to be a follower of that Hebrew sect - it doesn't present a valid claim, to propagate the term Roman Christians.
