Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is reacting to the Supreme Court of the United States' ruling allowing the Trump Administration to end the Temporary Protective Status (TPS) for Haitian, Syrian, and other foreign nationals.
In a statement, DeWine reiterated that he believes that the policy to remove legal TPS holders from the country is a "mistake."
"The situation could hardly be much worse. The violent gangs run most of the country. The government barely functions. And, the economy is in shambles," DeWine stated.
"Wait, are you talking about Haiti or the United States?" asked a reporter.
"Haiti of course", said DeWine. "But for the record, all these other countries like Syria are broken too so we have to keep them as well. In fact, why not bring in the whole country to save them? That is what we really need to do."
"But would you also consider sending Americans abroad to other countries who live in Blue cities like Chicago where corruption and violence are also out of control?" asked the reporter.
"No!" barked DeWine. "For the record, deportations are always wrong!"
"But are you not deporting Haitians to the US and other countries in large numbers?" asked the reporter.
"Yes, but those are humanitarian deportations and not fascist deportations. Now let's review, shall we? Deportations into the US..........good, deportations outside the US..........bad."
"But shouldn't the Supreme Court rule on deportations based on what the Constitution says and not on what they think is best for Haitians?", asked the reporter.
"Say, who the hell let you in here anyway!" barked DeWine. "You sure don't sound and act like a reporter from the media, and why does you badge say you are a janitor? Security!!!!"
No word yet on whether the aspiring janitor will ever get hired by Legacy media, but I would not hold your breath.
