Total war is extremely unlikely, and would be very short if it occurred. No nuclear power has initiated anything close to a total war.

The US and Iran are already engaged in low-level hostilities. Certain factors, such as Iran's nuclear program and America's persistent presence in Iran's claimed sphere of influence, point to increasing hostilities in the future. Still, I rate a war with Iran on the order of the conflicts in Iraq or Afghanistan unlikely in the coming decades.

Unless Iran does something really stupid, there is no reason for us to become involved in another conflict. Besides that, a very large percentage of Iran, maybe even the majority, wants change and will eventually bring that change on their own. Killing thousands of innocents in another conflict would not help us in the long run.

We've been at war with Iran since the Carter administration. It's been a cold war, but we've still been at war.

We need to take care of some other projects before we think about sending troops into Iran.

The oligarchy of the east is in reference to Washington DC. And the Oligarchy is the cartel of our biggest banks and richest citizens. Our government serves them.

To the guy that said total war with the middle east would solve our economic problems, well that is totally false. It would only give us alot more debt then we have right now, cause were a nation of chicken shit sheep and we will put it on the credit card rather then make the 1% pay for anything.

Where do you get the idea the Middle east would unite against us? Did they unite Against us in Afghanistan? Iraq or Kuwait? No, Because the Middle easy is very divided. Half Sunni half Shitte. If we went to war with Iran, there is no way in Hell the Sunni countries mostly in the west, will be fighting along side Iran.

Also, Iran is, Contrary to Popular Belief, not Arab. So they do not even have that connections with the Rest of the Middle easy to share. Clearly if you think the Middle Easy would unite Behind Iran, You have no idea at all about Iran and how it relates to the rest of the countries in the Middle east.

They could not even put up a real fight. US domination of their Shores, and Air Space is Assured. Iran can not field large armies to threaten it's neighbors with out us seeing it, and being able to decimate them.

I think you read to much into Iran's Ability. Hell they threaten to send their Navy to our Shores and libs were all freaking out about it. But they have like 4 Frigates and a couple hundred small fast Boats. They could not possibly do what they said they would do, and if they did it would be like a fly trying to threaten an Elephant.

This is precisely why we must not let them get Nukes. With Nukes Iran could gain the Power to do things that it could never do with out a Nuclear Shield. Like Invading neighbors with out the US decimating them from the air, for fear of a Nuclear War.

Not only that, most of Irans citizens would help us, they HATE their government.

Also a join strike is mutually assured because Iran is incredibly unpopular with the countries it is surrounded by.

The United States should not overtly go to war with Iran. Israel should iniate a war with Iran. Therefore the Middle-East region, including North Africa, and parts of Europe, will be engulfed in conflict. America should take the opportunity to increase her exports of American arms, thus improving her economy either through direct sales, or international loans.

That's right. The reason that the wars have been so expensive is that they have been fought as covertly as possible. Iraq was for oil, Afghanistan was for a launching pad into central asia, and Pakistan is to be used as a ground in which block a energy pipeline built between the Middle-East and Asia. Israel is already getting ready to launch a pre-emptive strike. Before they do so, the United States must internationally state that if there is to be a strike on Iran by Israel, the United States would remain nuetral. As previously mentioned, the US then would be able to sit back with the moral authority in that they didn't start war, whilst also being able to become the worlds arms dealer and loan shark.
