The Washington Post released a guide for Americans seeking to immigrate to a new country as a growing number of people are looking to move out of the country after President-elect Donald Trump won.
An article posted Monday reported how Expatsi, a company that helps Americans move abroad, saw a month’s worth of website traffic within the first few hours after the presidential election. Company founder Jen Barnett also told the paper she continued to see "a couple month’s worth of sales" within the last few days.
The report warned readers that "going full expat can be complicated and expensive" and offered backgrounds on the immigration process in popular destinations like Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.

A report from the Los Angeles Times last week also highlighted a growing number of Americans, specifically Californians, who are planning to move overseas because they are "fed up" with the divisiveness of U.S. politics. Although wanting to move out of the country has been a common threat among liberal celebrities, experts reported even conservatives want to leave.
Commentary:
If a significant number of Californians leave perhaps there will be less fires, more water and definitely less pollution.
This may even help with the housing shortage and drive down costs with the rise in available homes. That could be a win for the economy and those wanting to stay in the US.
The BBC recently reported that a couple from San Francisco who'd taken early retirement in France...their "Dream Destination"...to escape the growing "Right Wing Cloud."
Barely a year into their journey, they're moving back to the US
They said the French food was "overrated," consisting of croissants, cheese and onion soup every day. The last straw, however, was the bureaucracy and the way every just accepted it.
Perhaps they'll return home a little wiser, knowing that Trump's "Existential Threat" was to those who expected the world to think, act and be 100% like them.
Those seeking to leave may find what everyone else knows. Other countries have immigration laws that they actually enforce. So, immigration may not be as easy as they think.
Regretfully, Democrats will not move out because they're incompetence and crimes that made them rich in the U.S. would put them in prison in most other countries!
Another drawback that hasn;t been mentioned is that even if you've become an ex-pat you are still legally obligated to file a US federal tax return and pay taxes on your income. Moving out of the country does not relieve you of the responsibility to help pay for the mess that your fellow travelers in the Democrat Party made. If you manage to renounce your citizenship, you still have to file returns for the next 10 years.
