We needed at least one gun in that classroom that belonged to one of the victims…..that way they could have saved the lives of all the others……..and it is funny…..that when these guys leave videos, and journals and discuss target selection……they always mention wanting to shoot up a gun free zone……….so they would support your idea of having less guns….

And how would that be any different than suing car manufacturers for the deaths and injuries they are involved in? Try that and let us know how it comes out. And-FYI- so-called "assault weapons" are indeed used in sport and self-defense. Ever hear of hunting? Shooting people can be a good thing, ask any Marine.

How do you stop Sandy Hooks, one, you can't, not if someone intends to kill children…the worst school killing happened in Bath, Michigan and the guy used dynamite.

The first step, get rid of gun free zones. Allow Parent's to carry guns with them if they are legal citizens and legally able to own and carry guns and let it be known that schools will no longer be gun free zones where people are helpless. Then you put out the word in schools to pay attention to the social media with their students, and have the school social workers and psychiatrists flag students who are a threat.

Also, have police officer start making surprise visits to the local schools when they have time…again, making a point to inform the community that police officers will be making stops at schools for safety purposes.

The combined effects of getting rid of gun free zones, allowing parents to carry legal guns they can legally carry everywhere else, and random visits by police officers will make schools less appealing to the shooters.

That is at the grade school level.

High school, they already have police officers there on most days…at least around here.

College….let law abiding people carry guns. They can carry them everywhere else, and college is not different. 21 year olds who are legal gun owners, there should be no bar for them to carry. The nuts have the guns now…..let the good guys have the guns.

And let it be known that the campus will not just allow people to be murdered helplessly.

I don't have to conclude anything, the FBI does…..semi auto rifles that look like AR -15s kill fewer people every year than knives, clubs or hands and feet……for the whole year……they are rarely used to commit crimes….and you morons keep glorifying them for the mass shooters so 2 have used them.

YOu guys want them to use them…because that gives you the power you need to get rid of them. The truth and reality show that they aren't a problem, so you have to lie in order to achieve your goals.
