voting for the Lesser Evil... LOL!

yes not voting, rather than voting for the lesser of two evils, is sound strategy after all...by not voting for the lesser of two evils....you are helping the greater of two evils win....hmmmm...which means that when the greater of two evils gets into power...they will do the greater of evils, not the lesser of evils....

Yeah...that sort of thinking got us exactly where we are....libertarians...the democrats, best friends....
wrong n00b!!!

Once enough people say "enough" by showing how much of a sham throwing your vote away is, we'll have to have a constitutional convention (the states can call for it) to address the issues- too much influence by the uber wealthy, too much influence by questionable, well-financed lobbies, Capitol Hill being essentially "owned" by the "too big to fail" banks, etc...

Libertarians also don't seem to acct for the fact that the U.S. is in First world- nation, status because we are the world's reserve currency (libertarians want to abolish the fed) and it bankrolls its military w/ that $$$ to keep everyone else in line by bombing poor non-whites. MURICA!!!

We are very lucky that American entrepreneurs are able to make a profit despite massive unconstitutional regulations and confiscatory taxation.

.

Unless you happen to be GE which paid zero federal taxes last year, but its CEO is a buddy of obozo---nuff said.

What a crock, you know that those regulations keep the place halfway clean and healthy and the entrepreneurs halfway honest while those taxes fund the security and infrastructure necessary to do business. Do you even think about the bullshit you say?

yes, sure, all american businesses want to pollute the planet, abuse their workers, and screw their customers.

are you that much of a fricken loon? Businesses that do that do not survive. No one will buy their products or work for them, plus they end up in jail like Madoff.

Take a look at the places where American corporations chased cheap labor to, China, India, Bangladesh, etc. It is readily apparent that they indeed want to do all that and more.

Yeah, I totally forgot that without regulations Kraft would mix Velveeta with shit.

Entrepreneurs need government bureaucrats to help them manage their business and buy the necessary infrastructure

Talk about a crock, that one is a doozy.

Your example is ludicrious but Exxon/Mobil would certainly pollute your land and drinking water in search of petroleum products. Libertarians would have small communities trying to sue Big Oil in court as the only recourse. Only the federal government has the resources for that shit and the power to make sure they pay up for their ruination of natural resources.

As to the public infrastructure argument, you've heard it all before and I have come to the conclusion that libertarians think roads and stuff like that are just naturally occurring, self repairing systems.

yes...and after the greater evil imports 30 million New Democrat voters your dreams of a libertarian paradise are gone forever....because people refused to vote for the perceived lesser of two evils, Mitt Romney....

yeah...good plan...worked great....see you in the bread lines...

We lost a governors race because of Loosertarians. What have they won? They routinely hand the election over to the party further from their goals, how does that make sense? The only statement they are making is that if they don't get their way they'll screw it up for everybody.

It would be much more effective to move the party in your direction by influencing it with candidates that can actually win. obama won with 5 million fewer votes, he was beatable but too many stayed at home on principle. We'll be stuck for many years to come, maybe forever with the laws and regulations and Supreme Court appointees, etc.

Romney is no die hard conservative but Reagan couldn't have gotten the Libertarian vote these days.

It's the nature of politicians that there is rarely a choice worth making, still, not going to avoid the polls this year. Every election I toy with the idea of skipping it but I still find myself standing there in the booth with my sample ballot in hand to do my civic duty as an American.

I vote simply to cancel out the vote of morons like you.

in 08 and 12 the voters voted for the greater of two evils. What does that say about the american voter?

McCain would have only been slightly better than obama, but Romney would have been a very good president. Good people make good presidents.

The following presidents in recent history were good people:
Kennedy
Reagan
Ford
Carter
Ike
Truman

Being "good people" doesn't make them good presidents. Most of the people on your list were disasters as presidents.

That matter has been fully addressed in "Law, Property Rights, and Air Pollution", tort or criminal law is a set of prohibitions against the invasion of, or aggression against, private property rights

But if you are claiming that federal judges can not be trusted with environmental complaints what makes you believe that EPA bureaucrats will be any better?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?http://mises.org/daily/2120

As to the public infrastructure argument, you've heard it all before and I have come to the conclusion that libertarians think roads and stuff like that are just naturally occurring, self repairing systems.

Roads before 1860 were PRIVATELY owned and maintained. You pay tolls.

That way some miserable scumbag won't be able to allege that because I am on a government road there is no expectation of privacy. No stupid cop will be able to stop me and my family because I am not wearing my seat belt , and in the process , smash my windshield and then taser me for good measure.

.

I don't speak for all Libertarians.

But I do hate tyrants, slavery, warmongering, parasites.

.
Therein lies the problem, you sound remarkably similar to every online libertarian I have ever encountered and no political movement with such a wide basis in hate cannot be trusted to act in a responsible, compassionate manner.
Therein lies the problem.

You sound remarkably similar to every online parasite and warmonger.

To act in a responsible compassionate manner means

1- feeding you , clothing you , sheltering you and quenching your thirst

2- bombing the **** out every country on the face of mother earth

.
Yeah libertarians live by the negative stereotype and scapegoat people until their last miserable breath. Nice example.
But you are lucky.

The Demopublicans will cater to your every demand.

Xmas is fast approaching , get that letter ready to Santa Claus, aka, Harry Reid (D-USSR).

.
A responsive government is a hallmark of a free country, the "Demopublicans" are not exactly on the ball in the responsiveness department but at least "let them starve" is not an official policy proposal (yet).

Hardly. A "responsive government" can implement things like segregation.

^ that

Libertarians are basically deadbeats in that they want all the public utilities & roads/airports, they just don't want to pay for them

Really?

We haven't ask government to provide those services.

The government can not steal, loot and plunder in order to provide those services so that it can later claim that we demanded and consented to those services.
