Vienna shooting believed to be terror attack near synagogue, says interior minister

Apparently at least 7 have been killed and there is an active exchange of gunfire. Thankfully Trump prevented these many types of attacks over the last four years. We had an attack in Quebec and some in France recently.

Let's hope America doesn't return to this horror on their soil as it has happened elsewhere.

Austria's interior minister says a shooting near a Vienna synagogue is believed to be a terror attack, perhaps carried out by more than one person.

"At the moment, I can confirm we believe this is an apparent terror attack," Interior Minister Karl Nehammer said.

Several people have been injured in the central area of the city amid exchanges of gunfire, police said on Twitter on Monday, with local media reporting that a synagogue had been attacked.


"Shots fired in the Inner City district — there are persons injured — KEEP AWAY from all public places or public transport," police tweeted.

A police officer was shot and seriously injured and one person was arrested, news agency APA said, citing the Interior Ministry.

The editor of newspaper Falter said one person had been killed, also citing the Interior Ministry, which was not immediately available for comment.
