The Liberty was operating in broad daylight, flying American flags, and there was nothing else like her out on the water.

More like, The Israelis tried to sink her, failed, and then flipped through Jane's Fighting Ships to try to find something in the Egyptian Fleet that matched. "Oooh, oooh, this horse carrier looks kind of similar!" "But it's half the size!"

Thanks, this was a US sub and the friendly fire accident was by a Brit Ship who thought it was a German sub, because nobody responded =communications error.
I TRIED figuring out which one but the ones I found did not have his name.
I did learn alot in my search, that being how dangerous subs are.

2)I've been right about almost everything that this message board had the nerve to censor into the conspiracy section and that can be checked through archives.
3) regarding this topic no argument has been historically accurate nor backed by posting proof of visability, proof of eye exams, proof via correspondence communication audio tapes.

Owens' interview is spot on and most informative.



It turns out the first Israeli POTUS was Lyndon Johnson. As the Liberty came under attack a Navy carrier launched Phantoms to defend the Liberty. LBJ ordered the aircraft back to the carrier. Quite a shame.

The U.S.S. Liberty incident was 58 years ago. Nobody in the Israeli military or on the Knesset or in any leadership position then is likely in any position of power now if any are even still alive.

I don't know if the incident was intentional or a case of mistaken identity as Israel claims. Israel did pay the U.S. restitution for the attack.
