USMB Coffee Shop IV

Im going trout fishing in Tulsa next month. 3 friends and I meet up every year and spend 4 days fishing. Ususally in Port Orange FL. Once in Vancouver. Its a 20 year old tradition

Wow. I've had kinfolk who lived in Tulsa and have been through there a lot. I never thought about going there for trout fishing though. We have some great trout fishing here in New Mexico though.

Some of my best times -- watching the sun come up from a small boat, on Washington's glacial lakes, while trout fishing, with my late hubby.

God rest his soul.

I don't know what it is about fishing that is so therapeutic, but it definitely is for a lot of us. Even if you don't bait the hooks. :)

Just the quiet, calm of a lake in early morning, when all you're doing is drowning worms, savoring the coffee and enjoying one another's company.

And then the year that I landed the biggest trout and outfished all the boys!

Feels precious, doesn't it?

Praying for better sleep for you.

Thanks plus the lower extremity swelling has gone down which means everything below the knees no longer looks like adult Macy's parade balloons........ Still looks like baby ones though.......... :p

What woke me was two fold, the start of caffeine withdrawal and my over full bladder. The result of the Lasix they gave me for the edema and sleeping through my normal coffee consumption period.........

Yeah, that caffeine withdrawal headache can be a beast! I've tried so hard to get off of caffeine, with no real success.

Best of luck as you deal with this mess. Have courage.

Hombre has been having some problems with edema too but so far they've not recommended the heavy diurectics for him. Still trying to make it a heart condition. Caffeine withdrawal causes insomnia? Most people think it is the caffeine itself LOL.

No, caffeine withdrawal causes migraines...........

Blessedly I've never had a migraine. Even with caffeine withdrawal.
You have to be a serious caffeiholic for that to happen.......... I'm not as bad as I used to be but I'm still pretty bad, I pretty much drink caffeinated drinks all day.

The thing that kills the insomnia for me is massive doses of Magnesium glycinate at mid-day and at bedtime. Have never slept this well!

Yes, a lot of people have said that works for them too. But it's pricey and our insurance won't pay for it.

15th post
First full day without her. It's surreal, and it hurts. But "I'm here" as she used to say.
Thoughts and prayers for comfort still going your way. But the grief process takes awhile. Don't fight it. Let it happen. It's necessary in order to be able to let them go and allow time to replace the pain with wonderful memories.

The hardest thing, when I lost my mom, was having to just sit still when something cool happened in my life, when what I wanted was to call her and talk about it.
