USMB Coffee Shop IV

BTW, Carpal tunnel surgery is a relief and very common. Carpal tunnel causes numbness in the fingers and the hand as the tendons forming the nerve tunnel compress the nerve fibers. It can become quite painful and left untreated can lead to permanent nerve damage over time.
Full strength recovery can take from a few months to nearly a year. My last one only took a few months but I start light usage right away and finally increase it after a couple of weeks. I only "baby it" per se for the first two weeks, no strong gripping or heavy lifting. The incision needs a little time to heal.

Removed the dressing, cleaned up the dried blood and the incision looks good. No redness, well sutured, kinda looks like a small caterpillar.
Some bruising on the wrist but I expected that. One of the side effects from Lisinopril (BP medication) is easy bruising. I joke that if I even think about bumping into anything I bruise.........

Sorry if I missed this post...what happened,if I may ask?

Get well soon!

First timers receive a complimentary beverage and since it is midnight where I am, I'll make it a nightcap :)

A comment on today's society. I drive a semi locally. I carry 2 phones, mine and the companies. Arrived at my first stop, go inside and unload their freight. Had set my phones down on a box while I unloaded. Turned to pick em up so they could sign and they were gone. Now I'm operating in the dark having to call at every stop. Company phone had tracking on it so I was hoping it was quick find. No such luck. It's getting late in the day, next customer had a phone drivers could use so I called it twice and it was ringing. By the grace of God the female manager was standing right next to where they had been concealed when I called mine and managed to hear it despite the volume having been turned down to 1. She showed me where she found them. My first comment was " Gee how did it get there?" She immediately got snarky cause we both knew it was Mr minority employee standing there trying to act disinterested. Should have asked her to consult their cameras but didn't think of it in time and might have been too much for her. Idiot was too stupid to realize the phone he stole was on its last legs being almost 7 yrs old which needs constant charging under heavy use. I have zero financial or any other personal info he could exploit.

I'm in my 4th month of retirement now - and it finally feels real. I love getting my chores done in the am on a weekday - and then having free afternoons and weekends. It is such a luxury to be 2/3 free (no longer a debt donkey or a wage slave - but always a tax serf). Today I got the laundry done, made brunch, did prep for tomorrow's dinner, and cleaned up the kitchen before noon! w00t!

That's already too much work for retirement! My plans when (if) I retire are video games, TV, and books.

You are wonderful you know and I applaud you. I am not anywhere near that organized or ambitious so things here sort of get done when they need to be done and I have found more and more things that don't have to be done immediately as they once were. Hombre does us a simple breakfast, usually mid morning, we don't have lunch, and I do dinner that often provides leftovers for the next day's dinner.

But today having a full traditional Thanksgiving lunch/dinner at our house--my niece is bringing some of it--and I look forward to something a more difficult and creative just every now and then.

I don't miss the grind of working life at all. :)

Day three. I can remove the bandages today but I haven't yet. I'll take them off to see what it looks like but might replace them for protection. I'm prone to bump things, my peripheral vision ain't what it once was though I keep telling myself otherwise......... The pain is much reduced but will still need some ibuprofen around bedtime. Being minor surgery they no longer hand out the good stuff........ It's Tylenol, ibuprofen and icing for pain management.
Full spectrum CBD is awesome for inflammation...Should be super easy to find in CO.

It's nice when other folks contribute - that's what we're doing this weekend.
