USMB Coffee Shop IV

I’m so pleased for you guys, l have close ties to the US.

I think l must have been depressed the last four years. Or a sort of no hope low mood feeling.

So l’m going out shortly, to toast a glass of cremant to you and yours, and even me. At the French cafe. Even though it’s a grey overcast day in Central Europe.

And l’d better keep my mouth shut. It’s so woke here. :safetocomeoutff:

It's such a relief for Trump to win...again.

Yes millions are happy and relieved. And other millions are bitterly disappointed. But I hope here in the Coffee Shop we can all still play in the sandbox together.

Me too. I am so grateful that things have been quite calm here in the Bay Area. Maybe we are getting back to normal where we can have a peaceful transition of power.

My Grandpa fought in WWI - and miraculously survived.
I have six uncles who fought in WWII and all survived. Well, one didn't actually see combat but he definitely could have. He was a systems expert. The others all did. Pretty miraculous actually. My father was the only one who didn't go but he did run the commissary at a prisoner of war camp housing German combat soldiers during the war.

It's wonderful they all survived! My Dad was in Korea. His unit was overrun by the Chinese - it's a miracle he wasn't killed.

This morning I decided to have something that I haven't had in a very long time. A breakfast dish I used to love on occasion. Butter, bacon and cheese grits.......... Right now my lower GI tract is in open revolt......... Not to mention it didn't taste as good as it used to.
Since I was diagnosed with diabetes I've discovered a few foods I used to love no longer taste as good as they used to. However they didn't have the same catastrophic affect upon my GI tract..........
It would appear my body is telling me what it does and doesn't need.

I hate when I have belly issues after something that wasn’t even that good.

I changed my healthcare plan by phone in the bathroom between dumping and flushing. I called, had an estimated wait time of 8 minutes to reach a representative, and thought I had time to get other work done.

Ringel05, Sparker and Montrovant, I can relate. Since I went on a healthy diet I haven't had anywhere near the digestive issues I once had and, though we don't diet, Hombre and I have lost a lost of weight.. I still want to lose 25 more pounds for health reasons and vanity of course, and we hope to keep losing about 2 pounds or so a month naturally.

But we aren't fanatic about it and do splurge on something not that good for us now and then. It's a real bummer when we splurge on that box of donuts or something that really isn't good for us, get the setback on the scales (and how we feel) and it wasn't all that good.
