USA Ranks 27th in Social Justice

These other countries also tax their richest citizens and corporations instead of borrowing from them, unlike the USA. The USA is the richest country in history and it has never been richer; maybe you can explain why we sit at the bottom of a list of education, health care and poverty, too much capitalism?

Because freedom means money. Freedom has nothing to do with being educated, opposing discrimination, being able to marry the person you love, or any of that nonsense.
The "freedom" for billionaires to whine about paying 15% of their income in taxes.

Maybe we should bring back Ike's 91% tax rate on all incomes over one million per year?
It worked for the US middle class in the '50s.

Good. I'd like to see us lower but it's a start.
Move to Mexico.
Take Mitt and Mutt with you.
Good riddance.

Sounds like you belong in Tehran, asswipe.
Why don't you ******* move.
Don't speak Persian.
Besides, the 1% are bringing Tehran to the USofA.
Can you spell N-D-A-A, Sissy?

"The political, military industrial, corporate class in Washington DC continues to re-make our Constitutional Republic into a powerful, unaccountable Military Empire.

"The U.S. Senate has just voted 93 to 7 to pass the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2012, which allows the military to operate domestically within the borders of the United States and to possibly (or most probably) detain U.S. citizens without trial."

"A foundation in Germany has analyzed the social justice records of all 31 members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), ranking each nation in such categories as health care, income inequality, pre-school education, and child poverty.

"The overall performance by the United States — which boasts of being an egalitarian society — outranks only Greece, Chile, Mexico, and Turkey.

"Actually, three of those countries performed better than ours in the education of pre-schoolers, and Greece did better than the United States on the prevention of poverty."

Another example of the economic and political inequality built into this system that won't change by "choosing" between Mitt and Mutt next November.

OCCUPY LIVES:

"Our bottom-of-the-heap ranking in social justice confirms the economic and political inequality that the Occupy movement is protesting. It also helps explain why this grassroots uprising in America has spread so rapidly to more than 600 communities and has generated such broad public support.

"After all, our nation is fabulously rich, ranking well ahead of nearly every other OECD member in national wealth, so there's no excuse for us sitting at the bottom of the list in education, health care, poverty, and other measures of a democratic and egalitarian society.

"Bluntly put, We the People have let today's elites abandon America's founding principles of fairness, justice, and equal opportunity for all."

**** social justice.
Socialism hasn't improved anything, anywhere, ever.

Call me when we rank 10,000,000.. then I'll celebrate.

Education is Ignorance, thanks for all your help:

"He's (Adam Smith) pre-capitalist, a figure of the Enlightenment. What we would call capitalism he despised. People read snippets of Adam Smith, the few phrases they teach in school.

"Everybody reads the first paragraph of The Wealth of Nations where he talks about how wonderful the division of labor is.

"But not many people get to the point hundreds of pages later, where he says that division of labor will destroy human beings and turn people into creatures as stupid and ignorant as it is possible for a human being to be. (Creatures like you)

"And therefore in any civilized society the government is going to have to take some measures to prevent division of labor from proceeding to its limits."

A just told you Noam Chomsky is a Maoist - someone who despises capitalism. An you think anyone is supposed to find his opinion on the subject of Adam Smith credible?

What we would call capitalism is exactly the system that Adam Smith endorsed. However, commies like you use "capitalism" to mean something entirely different.

Possibly the fact that the richest 1% of Germans earn the same share of national income today (~11%) as they did forty years ago helps explain how a "rigorous monetary policy" enables universal health care?

Sending Grandma home to die because treating her will cost too much is what enables "universal" health care in Germany.

For the benefit of all fascists:

Social Justice:

"The fair and proper administration of laws conforming to the natural law that all persons, irrespective of ethnic origin, gender, possessions, race, religion, etc., are to be treated equally and without prejudice. See also civil rights.

What is social justice? definition and meaning

Nope, that's the definition of "justice." If you put a qualifier in front of the word, then the result must refer to something different. So-called "social justice" refers to organized plunder, not justice.
"justice

"The state or characteristic of being just or fair.
"The ideal of fairness, impartiality, etc., especially with regard to the punishment of wrongdoing.

"Justice was served

"Judgment and punishment of a party who has allegedly wronged (an)other(s)."

justice - Wiktionary

That's the definition of "justice."
Placing the adjective "social" in front of it changes nothing about the ideals of fairness and impartiality it imparts to anyone who isn't "as stupid and ignorant as it is possible for a human being to be."

So "social justice" is indistinguishable from "justice?" In other words, the term is absolutely meaningless.

You are just not good at this logic stuff, are you?

Methinks you are obsessed. PS..stop trying to link God, Heaven, and Christianity to socialism and communism. It won't work. And it will make things go badly for you in the afterlife.

Really? Keep trying to tie Christianity to the "let them eat cake" mantra of Capitalism and see who needs the glass of water and who's holding one.

Good luck explaining that one when you meet your maker. I don't think he'll buy the "I'm pro life and anti-gay" thing.

Right... I've been on the Religion and Ethics forum and have seen your posts... Combine that with "**** Social Justice"... and... well... figure it out for yourself.

You introduced Christ in this thread, you buffoon.

Socialism hasn't improved anything, anywhere, ever.
Social justice began with St. Thomas Aquinas; one of it's latest champions died for slaves like you.

"Martin Luther King was a social justice crusader whose life was cut short. Had he lived, our country would have been a much better place to live for everyone. King didn’t just fight for social justice for African-Americans. He fought on behalf of all Americans who were struggling to get by in an economy that favors the wealthy and powerful.

"'Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.'
~Martin Luther King, Jr."

"He (Smith) did give an argument for markets, but the argument was that under conditions of perfect liberty, markets will lead to perfect equality. That's the argument for them, because he thought that equality of condition (not just opportunity) is what you should be aiming at.

"It goes on and on. He gave a devastating critique of what we would call North-South policies. He was talking about England and India. He bitterly condemned the British experiments they were carrying out which were devastating India."

Do you see conditions of perfect liberty in play on Wall Street today?
Do you condone the British experiments in India during Smith's day?
Do you understand Mao was an authoritarian (like you) and Chomsky is not?

Capitalism was tried here about a hundred years ago, and the 1% hated it because they had no way of controlling the market. Their solution included trusts, monopolies and cartels that ignorant slaves like you continue to confuse with capitalism.

Many patients with life expectancies of six months or less prefer to die at home, particularly with an interdisciplinary medical plan for pain management and emotional and spiritual support. Naturally you prefer the profit driven approach where those with preexisting conditions are told to die in the gutter.
