US unable to shoot down Yemeni missiles.

missiles has already been sucessfully tested. Unlike your regular ICBM, this thing glides, which makes it unpredicatble. Even your own government admitted it has no means to intercept these missiles.
Once again the hypersonic cruise missile you refer to at president DOES NOT EXIST.

Even if it did Russian (Soviet) missiles have never worked as well as predicted.

They come with one every day. If something can kill you a thousand times over is not quite up to the notch and can only kill you 900 times over, no need to worry.

Why did you leave Vietnam and Afghanistan then if it worked out so well for you?
Because in Vietnam the politicians decided the end result wasn't worth the cost. We forced the PRVN to sign a peace treaty and left. Afghanistan was never worth the cost. We never had a clear objective there.

What does Enron have to do with Afghanistan? We don't get energy from there. Afghanistans major export is opium.

ENRON needed a gas pipeline across Afghanistan to their Dabhol power plant. They were leveraged for a 2 billion dollar white elephant.

Bush wanted to save ENRON.
While Bush is part of the swamp he only 1 investment to one oil well in TEXAS with Houston Oil who was owned by ENRON. ENRON spent money it didn't have. Hid the debt and then screwed over the money of power companies all over the United States. They were toast on ALL VENTURES not just the one in India.

And this was not the reason we went into Afghanistan.

ENRON did what big corps do when they are failing. They merge with others not telling them they are LYING. The other gets taken down when they fail not knowing they were merging with a financial disaster.

Happens to big boys. Hell I know of a perfect example down were I'm from. 2 shipyards MERGED. One financially stable the other was losing it's ass. The big one took out the smaller yard when it fell. And many businesses went bankrupt working for the big boy at the same time. The large company was TOAST just like ENRON and was a drowning man wanting to drown others to stay afloat at the end.

ENRON was a huge contributor to Bush's presidential campaign

Right before Bush invaded Afghanistan his negotiations with the Taliban to allow a gas pipeline from the Stans across Afghanistan collapsed.

So. Russia wanted pipelines too. They lost there.

ENRON was toast. There was NO SAVING IT. And Bush had investments in only 1 well in Texas at a very small percentage. And that was with a Houston group who had ties to ENRON.

We DID NOT INVADE Afghanistan for ENRON.

I can't find President Bush even mentioned in that linked-to article.

ENRON was a huge contributor to Bush's presidential campaign. He was negotiating with the Taliban about the pipeline up to his invasion of Afghanistan.

Uh, you know that is wrong, right?

That was the TAPI, or "Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India Pipeline". Notice, the US is not in there anywhere. It was not even proposed to be built by a US company, but the Centrial Asia Gas Pipeline LTD, a consortium of 8 International companies, UNOCAL was the only US member.

The pipeline was killed because of the instability in the region caused by the Taliban. And has never been considered since, for the same reason.

Maybe you forgot, but the world was largely turning it's back on Afghanistan well before Bush was even in office. Especially since 1999 with the widely circulated videos of girls being stoned in the streets, and the destruction of the over 1,400 year old UNESCO World Heritage Site the Buddhas of Bamiyan. By late 2000 the pipeline was dead, as TAPI had ended all interest in putting it through Afghanistan.

And President Bush was never part of any negotiations.

Proof?

Because the US was never trying to put a pipeline there. Just think about it, why would the US be interested in building a pipeline from Turkmenistan to India? What in the hell would that do for the US? If anything, they would want it killed as the US is the third largest exporters of natural gas in the world. Seems to me that in reality, logic says the exact opposite. It would not be moving gas to or from the US, so why would we care?
