The US will start guiding ships out of the Strait of Hormuz from Monday morning (Middle East Time), according to a Sunday statement by US President Donald Trump shared on Truth Social.

"This process, Project Freedom, will begin Monday morning, Middle East time. I am fully aware that my representatives are having very positive discussions with the country of Iran, and that these discussions could lead to something very positive for all," he said in the statement.

According to Trump, the operation will be centered on helping the vessels leave the Persian Gulf, with countries asking "the United States if we could help free up their Ships, which are locked up in the Strait."

"They are merely neutral and innocent bystanders! For the good of Iran, the Middle East, and the United States, we have told these Countries that we will guide their Ships safely out of these restricted Waterways, so that they can freely and ably get on with their business," he added.

According to his statement, the ships to be escorted out "will not be returning until the area becomes safe for navigation," and he calls the operation a "humanitarian process" to save the crews of ships trapped in the Gulf.

That should eliminate any threats from the ayatollahs' small fast boats.

We should line up battleships or destroyers along the Strait and if anyone within Iran fires on a tanker, we zero in on their location and take them out.

I'd say that unlikely to go well...

too funny

Trump should focus some of the 'fast boat tactics' being used in the Caribbean to Somalian and Yemeni fast boat pirates that have vowed to sieze tankers and take them to the Gulf of Aden for ransom. Maintain flights over that area and if a report of a hijacking comes in---blow them out of the water. Let's see how brave those Houthi's and Somalians are after a couple of their pirate vessels and their crews become fish food.

TRUMP ANNOUNCES OPERATION TO ESCORT SHIPS - Fmr. CIA Analyst Larry Johnson

More on this...

I've listened to this Johnson guy before. I think it is time to put up or shut up. Iran has made no pretense of their intentions; this Johnson guy says they have every legal right to intercede; Trump and Hegseth were bloviating early on about how they owned the Iranians--- time for something to give; either Trump will call Iran's bluff or the Iranians are going to embarrass Trump and school the West on Iranian resolve, either way, time to get this ball rolling--- since we started this whole thing, it behooves us to now finish it and show we are both of a mind and ability to finish it, otherwise--- WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING THERE, NOW?

BTW, if this new operation was to begin Monday morning Iran time then it began a good 3-4 hours ago for those living on the East Coast of America.

For doing this, you should send your ships in the killing range of Iranian anti-ship cruise missiles. And if you do this - Iranians will sink them.

Trump is daring the Iranians to fire on our ships. If so, the Administration has the green light to unleash hell.
