Caribbean leaders are set to meet with VP Biden today in Washington for the first Caribbean Energy Security Summit. The effort could wean our southern neighbors off Venezuelan oil, increase demand for vast US natural gas reserves, degrade Venezuelan influence and perhaps most importantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Oh ... and the price of oil this morning dipped to a 6 year low, increasing the pressure on Venezuela, Russia and OPEC. Nice!
